Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race (Part 1)

You cannot simply request to close a topic because of your own personal feelings in not giving the High Elf-fans something they have been asking for a decade. To me, it sounds like you’re want to be an obstacle to something you hold dear to you and it would personally affect you more than you let on. This is not fair towards the people who have felt like this for not just a few days or weeks but over a decade.

I would also suggest reading Exacitor’s postings on the US boards.

Its not that i dont like seeing it, its that this topic is TIRED and exists on multiple other threads. You can look exactly like a high elf now, what else do you high elf stans need to feel satisfied

Playable Silver covenant high elves, Reale highelves. That would make a difference

ok,

They are not going to make 3 playable races that share the same model. The race you are requesting is borderline extinct, thus should not be introduced as an Allied Race because it goes against the story of said race. You think you are making points but you’re not, you are making a fool out of yourselves. We can now look exactly like High Elves in Shadowlands, and if that still doesn’t satisfy you, you are as stubborn as a rock. Take this reality check and swallow it. You won’t choke dw, it’s not a hard fact to swallow.

Canonically there are less Velves than Helves. Just let this sink in for a moment.

So much of a fool that even Blizzard themselves acknowledged the demand and gives the Alliance blood elf-skins?

People are asking for the basic requirements which are justified. In the end, it’s not the players’ fault that the Alliance don’t have true playable High Elves but Blizzard’s. As you might know this is already the compromise. Helves will never be an Allied Race but nevertheless people are free to express their feelings and what is needed to make the compromise work - unless you want to post them the next few years more helves topics which dominated both the EU/US-forum for so long?

Yes, and they were a mistake too.

Yes, because they wrote the lore.

Void Elves are not getting green eyes.

First of all, calm the f down.

Ok, let’s pretend this argument is good.

How many Ashbringers are there? My paladin has one, and yours?

It’s half assed, sorry for asking for complete characteristics I guess.

Now, please, go back to your troll cave and let people ask for things.

Canonically, one. The player’s Paladin was the previous owner before it was destroyed.

Play a Blood Elf. They have the hairstyles, skin tones, hair colors, the racials, the city, Quel’Thalas, and now the eyes too.

This forum is my cave.

Exactly. They should have been Helves from the very beginning. Stubbornness and pride are the main reasons why we still have to discuss this topic years later.

And they have several times retconned everything, especially with the Chronicle-books. When we learned one thing out of the whole mess, then there is no true outline anymore. They can bend and change anything at their will. And this goes also for races, I presume.

This is not what the people are asking though.

That doesn’t justify High Elves at all. Void Elves and High Elves are equal in population (so it seems).

They didn’t retcon the almost extinction of Alliance High Elves. Until they do, this topic is tired and dated. They won’t retcon it either, because it is very important to Blood Elf lore.

Exactly, one, and all paladin player characters can have one.

So, High elves… There are more than one. Do you get it? Don’t worry, I don’t expect you to.

I do, I play a Blood elf, I want people to be able to play their High elves in their faction, problem? I don’t have any.

Ok.

I understand, but that still doesn’t justify High Elves. There are two Ebon Holds that exist in the world, one in Plaguelands and another in the Broken Isles. That doesn’t mean there are two Ebon Holds.

There’s no problem in your gesture, but it is a hopeless cause.

I like it here.

So you’re saying they’re High Elves?

They’re called Blood Elves/Void Elves.

There are more Helves. Canonically there are 20 velves at maximum and Danuser (don’t take me here by the word, I don’t know who of the developers said this) stated that the Void Elves are an elite squad of a few individuals.

They did not, I agree. But the discussion is not tiring, it only annoys you because people are getting something they wanted to have for a long time. Who are we to deny them this? Nobody cares for the Pandaren and how their mirror each other when in reality you only care for the HP gauge in the pvps. It won’t affect anyone, it’s just a mere setback™ for the belf-players that they have to share their prestince snowflake race in their own skin color from now on.

We don’t know this yet. Canonically the few velves are belves. InGame npc scripts suggest that the High Elves show an interest in becoming Velves but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Yeah well you have missed the point, what a surprise.

You aren’t a wow dev lol tf u talkin’ about? You don’t decide these things, get off your imaginary pedestal.

Devs adding High elf customization for Void elves just further proves how wrong you all were about this, and should be a gigantic sign that reads: Shut the hell up.

Now, those who love the lore of the game (AKA those who don’t try to deny playable options to others that exist in the lore because they don’t like them) are just trying to get it right.

High elf Allied race, your like it or not, is the final nail in the coffin of the discussion, if you don’t like it, too bad.

20?

I doubt that. If you can provide a source I’ll believe it.

Well yeah, the helf community only wants them because they’re special. Everyone wants to feel special, but that doesn’t mean they should go against the story of the race just to allow this. What’s the point of a race being special if everyone can play one? I’m allowed to deny it if I’m an individual that values the lore and story of the Warcraft universe, as everyone should.

Okay Aldumb. :joy: :ok_hand:

Blizzard don’t seem to like them either and Ion couldn’t have put it any bettter himself. If you want to be a fair-skinned, light blonde-haired, tall majestic elf, that is a Blood Elf. I doubt they would betray their means of creativity to satisfy a community of whiners who don’t deserve anything at this point. I’m surprised they even included High Elf options for Velves and Belves because the helf community is so toxic.

Stop trolling the forums

I think the whole question of them being called high elves is now semantics. Void Elves are high elves, Blood Elves are high elves. There are two playable high elf races. It’s why I don’t think Blizzard will allow Void Elves to describe themselves as high elves in a /who command or through mouseover, because that excludes Blood Elves who are also high elves. Think of it as the catch all term for the entire race.

Now, Blood Elves maybe closer to the ideal many players have of what a high elf is due to the fair hair colours, connection to the sunwell and the ability to be a Paladin, but Void elves are still high elves.

They are few. And here’s the source what people have been talking about the numbers in the US forum and what well-known people have been quoted saying:

So the term “squad” means we should get playable High Elves? Sure, why not? Kapp
