Its just gatekeeping for the sake of gatekeeping, and always the same old characters, with the same old arguments, don’t waste your time, and engage on productive conversation with someone that is worth it. ![]()
it is the same 4 people pushing this topic dude. You among them.
Oh the irony! my sides! LOL
I want to keep things positive. After all, all we want isn’t to take away from the game, but to add to it.
I’m more than happy to engage in a good faith debate with people, but even the trolls and the name-callers have a place, since all they’re doing is keeping the discussion a live.
Still, I hope to help spread the message of positivity
We, the High Elf supporters need to be realistic and stop demanding more Blood Elf stuff. I find it so stupid that so called, High Elf fans, talk more about Blood Elves and “we need Silvermoon!” “We need everything blood elves have!” “kick the Blood Elves out!” “Make the Blood Elves, Alliance.”
I’m sorry, but if we don’t change tact and kick those imbeciles into place, then our cause will never gain any attention because why should Blood Elf fans suffer and Blood Elf come at the expense of an allied race.
No - playable High Elves can only work around Blood Elves and now, with the updates to Silvermoon and Quel’Thalas which are just “blood elf” from start to finish…we needed to be taught that lesson. We needed to be humbled and to be told “No, Silvermoon is the Blood Elf homeland, first and foremost.”
Now, we can progress and actually talk about the Quel’dorei. We don’t need to mention the Sin’dorei or Quel’Thalas because they aren’t going to happen now. We aren’t going to get them. What we can do, is actually look at positive alternatives, such as Crystalsong Forest.
The Germans and Japanese weren’t aware of the atrocities their nations committed during the Second World War, either. Should we let them off the hook simply because they “didn’t know”?
To answer your question: because they don’t want to be held accountable. And from a gameplay standpoint, it’s not like you had to pick a lock or enter a secret code to get in. It was (still is) easily accessible.
I’m in favour of the high elves adpating a different rig if that helps them be more distinguishable from the blood elves, and I think it’s settled that Quel’thalas is permanently in Horde hands, so I’d be ok with the High Elves settling somewhere else as their starting zone
Being realistic should be consider that playable HE wont happen.
Cause
- BE are the HE
- you dont set the game, devs do.
- Blizzard has already confirmed multiple times about that subject. Answer is No if you want a HE go BE
- Midnight reveal clearly showed that playable HE is even not a idea.
- Midnight questlines are not about HE
- Giving playable HE is a potential confess from blizzard that “ok we maybe did it wrong in 2007” . Spoiler alert it wont happen
- Midnight was clearly the moment for adding playable HE. You think they do but you dont
At this point its forum spam and harassment and child’s whim
Like whining years after years on parents because there is no nintendo switch under the Xmas tree after they told you “no we re not gonna gift you that thing”
Kaiine, can you explain me in 2025 tww actual lore. What blocks you to :
- RP a level 10 HE blueberry model
- decide that you want to come back in your land and be with your people
- reroll a level 10 BE character and self lorewise going front of Silvermoon gates asking for " I m a former quel dorei! I left the silver covenant and I m asking for political asylum and want to be a sin dorei !"
With blue eyes of course
Because it’s just something where we want to play actual High Elves, ideally in Crystalsong Forest in the new High Elf City of Shandaral.
Yes, it does come down to the name tag at the bottom, but I’ve wanted High Elves for years. It’s clear that new hairstyles can be done as well as new cities.
Playable High Elves don’t even need to mention Blood Elves. Why some so-called High Elf fans keep speaking about Blood Elves is beyond me
Well, I guess You are free to interpret this as You wish. I’ll stick with not blaming entire population for a clearly illegal thing done in secret in a basement.
Just as I don’t hold entire Stormwind’s population accountable for warlocks practicing their fel magic in an easily accessible basement of the Slaughtered Lamb.
It won’t happen and you know it
Will all due respect to OP I think it might be more productive to focus the debate on one thread. Therefore I am happy to petition and debate on the Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 thread.
Quel’dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race - 2024 - #2929 by Halga-emerald-dream
See you there!
Honestly we should probably all do that - it’s hard to keep track of severa discussions on the same topic, and the fact that it’s mostly the same people with the same arguments on both sides doesn’t help xD
actually apart from the nuclear drop on Japan, Japan got off easy compared to germany who took pretty much all the blame and Italy faced no consequences either. It is all a matter of perspective.
Checkmate, haters - High Elves will officially be added as a playable race for the Alliance in 12.1 ![]()

Pure doubtful speculation
Would you like to bet 1 000 000 gold that HE will never be playable?
Honey, for 1 000 000 gold, you’ll have to work at the orc tavern for a very long time. Are you really ready for that? ![]()
Why are you insulting me for no reason?
Do you have social disorder or something?
