Quel'dorei High Elves as an Alliance allied race

This is a recurring problem, how things are portrayed in game vs outside of it.

silver covenant had armies in pandaria and legion and bfa so compared to void elves they are indeed HUGE numbers

unless blizzards wants to tell us that 50% of bloood elves decided to go into the void…

No hang on, One thing does not by extension mean another unrelated thing. That isn’t how it works. There are many more High Elves, than there are Void Elves, but if there are very few Void Elves (As lore tells us) then that still means that there can be not that many High Elves (as lore tells us) just that there are more of them than there are Void Elves (as lore tells us) and that both are -Vastly- outweighed by the Loyalist Elves who live in Quel’thalas (As lore tells us)

There are not -Huge- numbers of High Elves, they are Functionally extinct as a race, for goodness sake, just look up ‘High Elf’ on Wowpedia or Gamepedia the ones with the actual canon sources.

Look it up, it describes their plight and situation there. They are very few. More than Void Elves certainly, but the number of Void Elves in canon lore is almost certainly less than 50, so that isn’t saying much.

Seriously, look up the Canon lore on High Elves, then try to tell me they have huge numbers…

They are already in-game for alliance, yet not playable. They already happened, just we need right moment when blizzard decides to make them playable!

That doesn’t make any linguistic sense, can you explain what you mean?

Elune gives us strength to keep this topic alive until we get highelves playable!

For the KALDOREI! For Highelves! For Elves!

Wasn’t it the Kaldorei who kindly asked High Elves to go away from Kalimdor?

Yes, back in the rpg sources. Even after the Highborne were exiled and returned with theramore.

Times changed. We are fine to have them back !

Just to add to that, when they’re fully decked out in armour, you cannot tell the difference beside the red or green texts above their heads.

Uugh, Stop with the American fan lore. Alright…

They’re not. The Nightborne are not culturally Night Elves, they were separated for 10,000 years. That’s longer than the Blood Elves and Night Elves were. They -physically- changed, Thalyssra even states this outright in the cinematic where she relates what happened to Suramar. I mean she says “We changed” whilst looking down at herself in horror/surprise? They are physically different.

No they did not. The Night Elves still have their ancient history, none of that was taken from them. Their history is the same as it was. That’s how history works. Its in the past.

Assuming they mean Teldrassil, they might want to read up on their Elven lore. I mean in Elven terms Teldrassil and Darnassus are not exactly -History-. To a Kaldorei lifespan they pretty much happened last Wednesday…

Nor do I, that makes no sense.

Why? None of these are High Elven traits. Why would their politics change their posture? Why would they have facial paint? Why on earth would they be taller?

No. That culture belongs to Quel’thalas. They did -not- have Druids. I mean that is the whole -point- of their Exile in the first place. The only Vestiges of Druidic magic is indeed, the Farstriders. You know, that Blood Elven organisation. 90% of the Farstriders are Blood Elves now. Why should the High Elf ones suddenly have changed and no longer be High Elves?

Oh Wow, I guess Shamanism and Druidism for Blood Elves then, as they have had just the same exposure to cultures that practice both.

They…are…not…distinct!

They are the same people!

The only change that would possibly make sense is hairstyles. Forget Eye colour. Blood Elves can have green eyes, blue eyes, golden eyes. High Elves can have green eyes, blue eyes, golden eyes. They are indistinguishable from each other, and that is how they are depicted in game. Give Vereesa green eyes, and Liadrin blue eyes and you could not tell whether they were Horde or Alliance.

That’s actually the -point- of High Elves, if you go by Blizzard’s own lore sources. You -can’t- tell.

Whilst I have no problem with High Elves being an allied race, where was this confirmed for 2019?

That’s true.

They are exactly nightelves, just were isolated in a bunker so they changed because of nightwell.

Also, blood elves are not living together with highelvesthey are separated.

I quess they trying to be creative, also Aleria looks awesome with facial war-paints.

Thinking about void elves were made out of thin air, blizzard can create whatever they want. New class +race combinations are welcomed.

“There are plenty of ways to make them distinct”. They are not same people anymore, they are different.

Blood Elves and High Elves are 1 to 1 the same race of people. All that diverts them is the color of their political faction alignment on the tabard.

You’re late only by 11 years as playable High Elves have been confirmed way back in TBC.

Just on the wrong faction according to the op. It’s not about the race, it’s about getting the same Tolkien style elves just for the blue team. Blizzard knows it which is why the compromise of VE exists.

I hope they will, just to see that arrogant edgelord cry tears of anguish.
