I try to when I first do the quest although if the quest chain is boring for example I might just skim it.
First time out in a new expansion I read it, but after that, not so much
I read new quest text but when youâve seen the same quest 50 or more times you kinda go âurghhâŚâ and immediately skip it. Helpfully I use âautoturninâ so it just automatically accepts and hands in quests but if itâs a new quest Iâll hold âshiftâ so it doesnât auto start or auto complete
Deja walking past a menâs soap display
âYOU BUNCH OF WIMPS!! REAL MEN WASH OUR UNDERAMS WITH VIM!â before sweeping a heavily haired arm across the table sending items flying across the floor
I always read everything thoroughly the first time through a zone. It makes me immerse myself alot more. Collecting 10 alligator teeth feels a little more interesting if I know WHY I am doing it and for whom.
I also read everything if there has been a long time since Iâve done a zone, or if I really like a particular storyline.
If its content i have missed or havenât played yet then yes but if I had done it a gazillion times then no. Its not so important to read anyway these days with all the pointers and map legend markers. Some quests in classic whatever needs read sometimes because of the lack of pointers. they should remove them silly pointers I miss asking where mankiriks wife is etc. Thereâs no reason to interact because of it. sorry for going off topic btw I had to add that in just.
I read the quest text when i get to the arrow and realise that i dont understand why im there.
Sometime depends if is not complicate for me to read it because dyslexia. I have issue to read text anywhere need to sometime read few times and to do that on small windon ingame make it harder.
I really love that addon for classic overall voice who give voice for all quests ingame it is shame dont exist here.
I used to, but no more. Itâs generally uninformative, uninteresting, and full of typos.
In classic up until cata, yes.
Otherwise no.
I stopped caring after ICC.
Me and my partner play WoW together, I am an amateur voice actor so I always read out the quest text for him since it also gives me a bit of practice since all the different wow races have such a variety of voices
I have started to read them more in classic, especially now that I stopped to raid to dedicate time in the evening to train martial arts.
The experience changes a lot, itâs a shame even in retail you still have to read most of them due of the low voice acting.
Iâm reading them when I have the time for it, and in the mood.
Main story line quests I always read, stupid fetch quests, I donât really care.
The game is so easy its worth not reading anything just to give an extra challenge. I often read the stuff later on on further run through when I know the quests inside out. If they made the game a bit more Classic, then maybe, but for now there is really very little point.
The thing I most enjoy is the storytelling, lore, questing and RP. Without it its just another minmax grind collections game that makes me feel empty and burnt out. I like to take it slow and RP all quests with my characters. From time to time Ill do old questlines I miss and read it all over again just for the joy of it.
Only when an expansion launches. I read through all of the quest text, but in subsequent patches I tend to skip on some of the optional quests.
