Hey all,
I’ve just started leveling a priest with the idea of maining Holy for healing at max level.
I’m only level 30 or so on it, so maybe Shadow gets better, but I’ve found it to be just as quick, if not quicker sometimes to kill mobs on Holy rather than Shadow due to the ramp up time. Does this get any better? Or would I be better questing in Holy?

Not sure if its a gear thing but I personally leveled as shadow and i always pulled a lot of mobs at once.
Pretty sure its faster than any of the healing specs but im not sure.
Shadow is best for leveling in my experience.
Personally I’m leveling as disc priest with a DPS build! It’s really fun and I can pull huge packs and just Holy Nova and Halo them down. I also do a lot of damage to boss mobs.
Holy and Disc might do a lot of damage with cooldowns but there is no way it can beat single target or multi dot shadow priest damage?
Shadow is really tanky too so there is no need to go healer for survival.
And yes 30 is quite low, when you get Dark Ascension, instant mind spike and instant mind blast it becomes better
Only go healer if it’s more fun for you or you want to practice on it
Yeah nevermind, I just got Shadow Crash, the 2 charges of mind blast, and the instant mind blast proc talent, so it’s much much faster now 
Yeah as you’re saying, I’m doing it because it’s fun ^^ Ofc shadow is going to outperform the other two specs in terms of speed and damage
Holy Nova damage is pretty pitiful at high levels, even for questing, sorry!
Shadow is a pretty slow ramper, but your shadowfiend and talents like void torrent can offset that a lot in solo stuff where the cooldown is just spent travelling.
Shadow crash goes in every build too.
Shadow… and its not even close.
If you wanna fast ques for dungeons while leveling hoewer…que as healer.

Found that holy with gear can solo most things but dps is only upto 20k at most.
Note this:
Shadow ist faster for sure, but I had no problems with holy.
Took a little bit longer but I prefered to level with the spec I plan to play in end game.
