Questing in WoD Sucks & Should be Skip-able!

It’s fast if you take the flying/treasures route. Not so fast without flying.

@Nefaryas: You only need to do 8, you can get to Legion content at 98.

I finished up Loremaster Draenor yesterday evening and WoD is easily one of the best questing experiences I have had yet in WoW.

All i remember from WoD leveling is garrison things, stealing real estate from ogres and snow. Lots of snow. And rocks. I think i’ve actually leveled only in the garrison zone.

I’ve survived leveling a mage through wod questing after last pruning. Never felt so sc.hmuck since lvl 1. Mob hits more than your heirloomed dummy. I’m a martyr.

I personally skip WOD all the time. For the first character, i did it and felt like it was the biggest garbage zone ever.

Nowadays, dungeons only and lower level zone quests would do. Until i reach 98 to enter broken isles.

Honestly dude, Good for you. I couldn’t stand a moment of it. WOD and cataclysm just weren’t my thing i guess. -

At first I came into this thinking ‘troll-thread’ but you know what, I actually agree.

WoD is boring. Delete it.

It is skippable…

Buy a character boost for [insert random price here] £60??? not sure not looked.

To be honest I didn’t read all of your post. All I do know is that terrain in WOD is god awful and designed for maximum timesump. I hated questing during that xpac.

75% of the reason I didn’t play legion was that I was thinking do I really not want to be able to fly in that type of terrain again.

I do also love Draenor as a place to go and explore and just generally be in so that might play a large part in it too  …then again, I also love MoP so I could just be a dirty cretin lol!!

Did you enjoy the brief mounted combat in Nagrand at least ? I would love mount combat for the world as a whole, felt great!

Doing stuff for gear sucks and should be skip-able! Oh it is? Welcome to BFA!

Like many others said: questing in Wod is already skipable. Last character i ran through it, never touched quests outside the garrison. Just do treasures, bonus objectives, and ye ole dungeons. I did it to 101 even, so i could use a legendary upon entering Legion (not recommend, cause 100-101 is slower in wod)

I’ve only just got to my Garrison in WoD having done the intro through Tanaan bit and we dinged 92. We intend to do some treasure hunting to get us to 98 and then head off and leave Draenor behind. I don’t think it will take long.

personally, I’m not a big fan of jumping on a mount to fight a boss type of scenarios. Or any scenarios were they give you new abilities and you need to spam 4 buttons to win.

As for MOP, Who are we kidding? Panda theme might have started as a joke, but overall, the expansion was pretty solid and good.

And timeless isle is still considered one of the best added contents in the game in all expansions. So no shame in liking MOP.

This was in Nagrand where you picked a certain building during the questing storyline, and it gave you the Telaari Talbuk ability button while in Nagrand. You can quest and fight mobs, mounted, with your full action bars  only works outside in WoD Nagrand as far as I know though.

Following on from my last post my friend and I (in Alliance Warmode) just did the treasures in one zone and the bonus objectives and one dungeon and got to 98. I’ve just gone to Dalaran and got my artifact quest done. It was so fast, cant’ have been more than two hours.

Well I managed to get through it… I didn’t know any of these short cuts going into Draenor content, like gathering treasures or bonus XP zones. I was quite literally trying to level by questing in Shadowmoon Valley & Talador, that was it. Needless to say that method of levelling was mind numbingly boring & I was starting to loose all motivation. Thanks to some the suggestions you guys gave I headed over to Gorgrond which is probably the saving grace of Draenor’s questing experience, levelling from 94 to 99, a pretty decent zone.

At least I now know a better route to level future characters… though I’m not in any rush to return to Draenor! :stuck_out_tongue:

Just work on flying(someday you will get it anyway) and WoD quest chain isn’t that bad. With those bonus objectives+few quests+few dungeon you will be 98 before you feel WoD.

Tip: goto WoD at 91 not 90 so total 7 lvl to lvl up in WoD

And here am I who’d wish WoD to be accessible at 80 because I like it the most and would like to do at least the three best zones (Shadowmoon, Talador, and Nagrand) before reaching 100.
On the other hand, I find much of 80-90 range a pain in addition to 60-80. Make me able to go to Uldum and Twilight Highlands at 80 so I can skip Hyjal, Vashj’ir and Jade forest that I’ve done so many times over I don’t want to ever see them again.

Rested xp will help a lot. If your character doesn’t have it, park it in an inn for 1 day and then you get double xp for a whole level!
