Question about boost

If someone boosts a char that is lets say 30-40 will it reset the already developed professions ? Or…will it even be possible to boost existing character?

The boosting is misleading, it’s actually buying a lvl 58 character. So no, you can’t boost an already existing toon.

I have no idea how you can be so sure about what you are saying Bubbless, there are no official information on the subject at the moment, nothing more than “there will be a payed 1-time-per-account boosting service”

You can in other Blizzard boosts, I’m sure you can quote where Blizzard have said only level 1s can use it.

In other boosts you keep your professions and if you don’t have any you can’t pick them as they won’t be boosted with the character level.

Well Blizzard said the service is for those who didn’t played Classic and wants to go TBC straight ahead. This means they have no character to begin with. Boosting from lvl1 is practically buying one.

This is my info from the guy at Blizzcon.
Of course this doesn’t mean that’s how it will be, it’s just reasonable to assume no Classic no toon.

Don’t assume. It will be similar to retail boosts and they are not limited to level ones only.

This is what I think you will get.
Level 58 green TBC gear
Level 40 or (30 in TBC) riding and one mount.
Some gold, probably 100g, maybe less.
4 16 slot BoP bags.
A stack of consumables like food and drink.
Maybe a second weapon for another spec on some classes.

Yes, but that’s a different context.
Blizzard using the “never played Classic” was pretty specific. That’s all. Maybe a poor choice of words.

Yo thanks for replies, Hope it will be the latter where the profs are not nullified :).

Also dont need to fuss we will see how blizzard approaches it, it also may happen that blizz will move back from this option :). I was just curious.

Explain to me how these 2 quotes…

…fit together?

I get you are mad with me because we don’t share the same ideas around here, but to take this into a philosophical area I think it’s too much.

Indeed my words are all over but even so, it’s very lame to go there.

And as a matter of fact, if someone/something says it will do X in the future that doesn’t necessarily mean that X will 100% happen.

What’s next? My English? Up your game mate.

They said it was designed for catch up, they didn’t say from what level.

Instead of making assumptions about my emotional state, how about you answer the question?

Maybe you should read my post again.

Right, I watched the interview once again and you are right.

I was under the false impression that the dude said “never played Classic” but he is actually saying “didn’t really played Classic”.

That’s 50 DKP minus for me.

I don’t think I have to.

I agree, as you don’t seem to process any information you read.

Hi, so now we ve more infos on what we should get when buying a boost, but I still didn’t find if it ll be possible to boost an already existing character ?
Do someone ve more info about it ?
And if it’s there re still some questions :
professions, ll we be able to keep our progression ? primary secondary, both ?
Can you boost a lvl 58+ ? like if you don’t want to raide up your weapon skill manually or do the class quest ?
