Question about CC diminishing returns

Does anyone know how long is the reset timer for CC? Will blind or stun after sap be affected by diminishing returns? Also do all forms of rogue CC share the same reset timer? In pvp do good rogues typically not use kidney shot after cheap shot on the same target because of diminishing returns?

I recommend you a diminish returns counter addon (there are few), you will see how different abilities influence DR in practice.

You can check all the different dr’s here.

The reset timer for cc is always 18 sec from the moment the most recent cc was applied. So if you, for example, sap someone and then re-sap them at 2 seconds of your previous sap duration, the cc timer will go back up to 18 sec, from the current 12.

it’s 18 from when it was removed.

gouge and sap are on incap dr. blind is on disorient. cheap shot and kidney shot are on stun. garrote is on silence.

don’t overthink that. half kidney is ok. quarter kidney isn’t really worth thinking about.

stun the guy and do your big damage, when the stun ends do another stun. when you get comfortable with that you can think more about optimising how you stun imo. it depends. very basic idea is that ideally you start with a kidney on the guy you wanna kill, but a lot of the time you’ll want to kidney somebody else or you won’t have combo points since you’re in stealth.

So stun, sap, and blind all have separate diminishing returns?

yes 10char

It is not. It is 18 from the moment the most recent cc was applied. You are wrong.

or just kidney on cd. 20s cd and yet it’s dr. why? cause it starts counting when the cc ends.

But you’re wrong. When you sap someone, the timer starts. It doesn’t start when the sap wears off. Then it would defeat the purpose of the dr. smh
