Question about darkness

Hi,

On talent for darkness it says “give 100% chance to avoid damage when not in raid”.

Yet when I drop it on my grp in m+ they still take dmg.

Lets say a boss doing big aoe cast like last boss BRH. Some ppl seem to avoid it and take no dmg. Other take the full dmg even if in darkness?

How exactely does darkness work ?

Increased by 100%. Meaning 30% rather than 15%.

Yeah darkness isn’t a guaranteed defensive, it’s a get lucky defensive
