Hey. I was wondering if I need to connect both HDMI and DVI to my gaming computer at the same time? This is the monitor I’m using: AOC 27" Curved C27G1
Right now, I am only using HDMI cable, but if I did connect a DVI/VGA (cant remember which one) cable aswell, would it improve performance some how? The monitor is 144HZ btw.
Adding my PC specs aswell:
CPU: Intel Core i5 8600K 4.3 Mhz
GPU: Asus Geforce 1070Ti Ceberus 8GB
Power : EVGA GQ 750W Hybrid Modular 80+ PSU
Hovedkort: MSI z370 Carbon Gaming Pro
RAM: Corssair Vengaence DDR4 16GB
Harddrive: 1 TB SSD
HDMI or VGA doesn’t support 144 hz, don’t use HDMI or VGA if you use 144 hz. Best would be to use displayport. If you use HDMI or VGA you might as well just put the refresh rate to 60 hz, less heat on the graphic card, since you don’t get any benefit from having it at 144 hz with HDMI or VGA.
Found this
"To output 1080p content at 144Hz, you will need either a Dual-Link DVI, a DisplayPort, or an HDMI 1.4 or higher (though some monitors with HDMI 1.4 are limited to 60Hz or 120Hz) cable.
As Mindbox suggested a DVI connector would be best for you
