Question About Multiboxing Software

The software I used is isboxer and I’m wondering if I can use it in regards to the window management of my 5 clients. I won’t be using the key replication portion of the software just the part that makes it easier to switch from each client to the other.

You will struggle for a definitive answer here (and get a lot of salty comments instead probably). It has not been made entirely clear.

I’m gonna guess any interaction with the client and software may put you at risk in the future (you will get warned first so you can play the wait and see game) even if only on the menus, because the client itself may flag any of this software (again this is a guess with what limited info has been given).

I would suggest the ISB forum and devs, no doubt they will be seeking lots of info on their boundaries and limitations and will want to make their customers aware.

Best o luck

straight up i think they will still action you if you use anyone of the software thats been used for duplicating actions, regardless what you use it for.

best is to use alt+tab for the time being

There have been cases where people have been banned for using AutoHotKey to fix hardware issues, when they weren’t using it to broadcast, or automate anything, just fixing a double click issue on their mouse and stuff like that.

Chances are, if isboxer is detected, you’ll get a warning, regardless of how you use it and what for.

Blizzard’s cheat detecting software “Warden” won’t differentiate on what you’re using the software to do. It will only flag your account for running a 3rd party software, and as such flag your account.

So as with any 3rd party software, you use it as your own risk. Knowing full well that you might end up getting banned. That has been Blizzard’s stance on 3rd party software for a very long time now, even with machinima tools.

Well herein lies a dilemma right, just because the software is running on your PC, doesn’t mean it’s being used for WoW. ISBoxer is used for a multitude of games (30+ I think) and Some Gamers run multiple games on a single System, unless you have outright proof the broadcasting was used for WoW, how could they sanction you.

Plus, AHK, Key Clone etc are used for a ton of other things and not exclusive to wow. There could be a hundred reasons why a piece of software is running on your PC, and if I recall ( needs correction) Blizz are not allowed to scan your PC anyway, they can only scan wow files loaded into memory and determine from there if the wow files are being tampered with to “prove” botting or use of 3rd party software.

I would imagine that you will be punished just the same. If they detect the software you will be treated as if you are using it fully.

We will soon begin issuing warnings to all players who are detected using input broadcasting software to mirror commands to multiple accounts at the same time (often used for multi-boxing). With these warnings, we intend to notify players that they should not use this software while playing World of Warcraft. Soon thereafter, the warnings will escalate to account actions, which can include suspension and, if necessary, permanent closure of the player’s World of Warcraft account(s). We strongly advise you to cease using this type of software immediately to maintain uninterrupted access to World of Warcraft.

Well here’s how Blizzard would respond :

“The game client may monitor your computer’s RAM and/or CPU processes for unauthorized third party programs running concurrently with the game.”

Yeah good luck with the ban. I hope blizzards next step will be the boosting communities. Until then, keep reporting the botters my friends.

More like;

Shadowlands will be a big disapotment …

They did state that it was key replication/mirroring that was the issue, so going to assume that setting up a software that lets you send three different button presses to three different clients shouldn’t be much of an issue.

I would recommend talking to other multiboxers about it or contacting Blizzard.

On forums ppl are salty about multiboxers and everything else.

No it will be banable as well, going around tos don’t mean you don’t break tos it means you are expoiting game

Data Protection and Pricvacy laws come in to play here, to my knowledge they can only scan thir own file in Ram and “see” if it has been altered or tampered with. Outside of that they are not permitted to scan your PC.

Even if a piece of software is running, it doesnt mean it was used for wow, just because you took your phone into the cinema doesnt mean you recorded the film.
