I have a little question about the difficulty. I haven’t played WoW in a long time and I missed a lot of updates.
I’m playing the normal game, not Classic, in a New Player realm.
After level 40 the game has become very easy, I have the flying mount at maximum speed and I can kill enemies about 5 fewer levels with a single melee hit from Staff (I’m a Human Warlock).
Is this something related to the New Player realm, or they changed the difficulty of Easter Kingdoms and Kalimdor, in order to introduce other lands for higher levels?
leveling is really easy, even “starting” content once u’re 60 is really easy (like quests, torghast, lower levels of raiding and dungeons and pvp as well as world quests and all that)
they did squish old world few times tho, which made it easier as well.
Well, Eastarn Kingdoms and Kalimdor scale only up to level 30(Cataclysm zones up to level 35). So it’s not surprinsg that you kill everything in the content you outleveled. If you would fight enemies at your level it can be tough for level 40 depending on the class. On Warlock it is sitll quite easy since you can have your pet tank some damage but I just leveled a mage few days ago and at higher levels It was hard to fight more than 2 mobs at the time.
The only places that scale above level 40 are Broken Isles, Kul Tiras and Zandalar. On top of that if you already have 1 level 50 character you can turn on Chromie Time(Timewlaking Campaign) for chosen expansion. This will make that expansion’s content scale all the way up to 50.
Lastly New Player label for realm is a normal realm but with lower population so Blizzard marks it as New Player so game will put any new player on such a realm by default. It’s done to fill those realms up with more players.
Indeed. A lot of people felt unsatisfied with how levelling used to be, so they changed it to make it much easier. Endgame is really where the difficult stuff is.
