Jaina Proudmoore teleported herself and an entire army from Lordaeron all the way back to Stormwind in WotLK (they are 2 sub-continents away), and she did so instantly, so why exactly was there so much complaining online about Jaina teleporting away at the end of her fight in 8.1.5? Very clearly she is a prodigy, a cunning and skilled archmage who is very proficient in teleportation, so of course she won’t just die so easily.
My guess would be that it’s retroactive, and after seeing her scene with Thrall some think it would’ve been a good idea to end her story back there.

Because it’s a cheap cop-out.
Why does literally any dungeon boss above a certain power-level ever die? Why didn’t Kil’Jaeden just go ‘Yeah, no.’ once he hit 33% and teleport to Argus directly?
The answer: Because it would be really unsatisfying for the players.
The Horde finally got a showdown with one of the big Alliance names, one who many of them think is literally Satan after the Purge, and she just hops away. She’s not even really badly wounded after the fight.
Honestly, some of the bosses in SoD were a bit insulting. Stuff like the Jadefire Masters and Champion of the Light was just depressing, where these two random nobodies are apparently a match for a whole raid.
