Question about Troll Monks

A simple question about Darkspear who decides to become Monk, do they change their loa to celestial or do they still worship the same loa they had before?

Edit: I was thinking to have my Darkspear worship Kimbul as he is a Monk it would be a fun mix since he is using his hands like claws or would that break lore?

I don’t think there’s any inherent reason to worship a different loa just because they become a monk - but it’s not impossible either. It depends a lot on your character’s story - why are they becoming a monk? Why would they worship a new loa? Why would your Darkspear choose a Zandalari loa? If you have good answers to these questions, you’ve come a long way.

Lorewise I think there are nothing really confirmed regarding that but if we look from possibilities I can see two ways.

Either your troll somehow admire the way of the Monks and perhaps even start to follow the Celestials as his new Loa and combine his dedication to both Troll Loa’s of Darkspear but also adapting a Celestial as additional Loa of admiration.

Or your troll is just another Darkspear troll who are loyal to specific Loa and just see Celestial as part of his monk training.

There are many ways you can explore this in your roleplay with slowly starting to see the Celestials as a Loa over time as he grow stronger in his monkish ways.

It’s also possible that you are just a loa infused fighter that’s taken up some fighting styles from a monk.

I worked round the idea that my troll monk uses a tribal fighting style, similar to how their dance is based on a mix of fighting and dancing as well.

but as mentioned already you can add a twist of loa energy in there for the more magical aspect of the monk class if you want.
