I plan to play with one of my friends together the DF campaign today. Now my question is, if I am playing with a character that already has completed some/all quests of the campaign, will I be able to use group sync and get the quests again to help my friend with them via shared progress?
You SHOULD be able to take campaign quests you have already done. And you probably will be.
But I have found that sometimes, Party Sync doesn’t do what would be expected of it, especially where phasing due to quest completion is involved. But there’s not a lot (any?) of that in DF, so I’d be optimistic.
Well, it does, but it also does block certain quests from my friend (group leader) which will disappear on sync.
Ugh. Party Sync works most of the time. Except when it doesn’t. You can try breaking party and remaking it with the other person as leader, but I don’t know of any other way of wheedling it.
I truly have no understanding of Party Sync’s logic.
