Hello there I am rather new to world of warcraft, very in fact, I just recently started, I been searching for an Alliance home, I am not an RPer though, I been given several suggestions to join RP server Argent Dawn, my question is, is there only RP there, if I join there will there be groups that doesn’t RP, and guild groups that can do content with and won’t judge me for not being interested in rp, with group finder things, raiding, is that an option there? I am sorry if these questions are very dumb.
Theres plenty of people/guilds on argent dawn who don’t RP, just be careful when walking about as people are usually unhappy with randoms ruining their scenes.

We have all those other realms to choose from and can leave RPers to their RP activities and still people will go and create characters on those realms. There are no rules against it, but I will never understand it.

I am from Argent Dawn, once used to RP, I no longer RP, I’ve mixed my characters throughout Kazzak on Horde, Silvermoon, Ravencrest for Alliance, however, it’s hard to let go of Argent Dawn, cause it where my entire World of Warcraft beginning started, if blizzard didn’t charge so much for transfer, I’d probably left it long ago.
I’ve long abandoned my starter realms.
Since we can now have Alliance in the same guild as Horde, I’ve slowly been rerolling my characters onto Draenor as well. My Horde and Alliance used to be Draenor and Silvermoon. I just delete one on Silvermoon and restart it on Draenor.
Meh I wish, I just have like 20+ alts I have spent many many hours on, and I also have some characters that are heavy meaningful that I would not dare to delete, playing it with my sister that passed etc, so it’s hard to let go of characters of such, but I’d transfer them, if I had the money for a bigger pack in no heart beat.

This might not be the answer you’re looking for, but the truth is: it doesn’t matter.
You can raid and do group finder things anywhere, because they aren’t realm limited. You can find social contacts via communities that span both realms and factions. Which server you choose has very little impact on your gaming experience, and that will be increasingly so with TWW and x-realm guilds.
The only reason to worry about your realm choice right now is if you will be buying or selling a lot on the AH, or intend to be a market leading crafter (not an easy task!). Otherwise, pick somewhere that for some reason appeals to you. Ideally somewhere with friends.
Not that there’s anything wrong with Argent Dawn; it’s a vibrant and friendly server. But if you do not RP and never will, it has absolutely nothing that other servers don’t, and may be more limited in the things you do want. Go Silvermoon for Alliance, or Draenor for Horde. Bigger populations, more AH supply, easier to find crafters or to be a crafter.
But again, outside of that; it doesn’t matter. Pick a realm with a name you like
