Question regarding character transfer and transmog

Hello. I am hearing different things so I have to ask about this.

I have a 2nd Blizzard account where I am playing my Pandaria Remix character. Upon reaching max level I saw all the transmog stuff so I started farming them. Now I have some mounts, transmog sets and heirlooms like tusks of mannoroth unlocked on this account.

Currently its not possible to transfer a character between battle.net accounts, but when this is possible again I want to move my Pandaria Remix character over to my main blizzard account.

I get worried now as I hear people saying that the transmogs I have unlocked and farmed will not transfer over to my main battlenet account if I move this character over.

I hope my question was clear and that somebody knows. Thanks!

I don’t think you can transfer characters between battle .net accounts, only WoW accounts that are on the same battle .net account.

This info may be of some help though;

Edited to add;

I know this. But I understood this is only temporary during the TWW pre-patch because of some technical difficulty they are working on and it will be returning at some later time.

I’m not aware that it would be returning (but i could be wrong). However the below statement would suggest to me at least that it is not returning…

Please be aware that transfers between Battle.net accounts will not be available after the pre-expansion update has gone live. Any transfer tokens that you have saved to use on a transfer between Battle.net accounts should be used before this time.

The support article also says the same thing. There’s no indication of a return date or that it is temporary.

I really hope this is not the case. If this is true I have leveled up and done 1000s of hours of work with the intention of merging it with my main account through character tranfers in vain.

Does anyone know for 100% certainty? Please help.

As far as I’m aware they are not coming back.

The only temporary measure was that the undelete function isn’t available during this time.

Hello Müssy!

I am afraid I have to confirm what others have already mentioned in this thread, the character transfer service for transfers between accounts has been indeed disabled with the pre-expansion update, and will not be available anymore.

For reference, this was also communicated in the blog post linked above by Ráevelyn: https://news.blizzard.com/en-gb/world-of-warcraft/24117137/paid-character-transfer-service-update-ahead

Ok. This is very sad news. I have been working for a year or so on different accounts with the intention of transfering them all to the same account eventually. So much time down the drain. Oh well.

Even if you could transfer still, most transmogs and other gains such as mounts would remain on the other battle.net account and not transfer with the character or characters.

That’s always been the case. Collections that bind to the battle.net account remain on that battle.net account. There are some minor exceptions where the achievements are character specific (I’m not into the scene but I wanna say some individual high rank PVP achievements might come across?) but the vast majority of stuff binds to the battle.net account and stays there.

So even if you could still move characters to another account, they wouldn’t bring their collections.

Thank you for clearing this up :slight_smile:
