Question regarding icon that pops up on screen when using abilities

Hello folks,

So I need a little help clearing up an issue I’m having regarding Shaman, basically when using my abilities an icon pops up above my head but I’m not sure what it is. Searched on the web but couldn’t find a clear explanation. I’m sure it’s something simple and I’ll feel stupid once I find out.

It’s basically a slightly transparent with electricity popping out. It appears it might be related to Earth Shock, is it some form of boost for that ability. Basically I’m a low level Shaman Elemental right now. Would appreciate any help.

Pretty sure it shows your maelstrom is full/close to full and you need to use it on Earthshock or Earthquake. Basically as ele you build maelstrom and then spend it on those two heavy hitting spells.

It means your Maelstrom is too close to getting capped.
