Question regarding naxx and icc bosses being in pre-patch

Hello all, recently i’ve seen somewhere that we need to kill Noth the Plaguebringer and maybe,im not sure,Professor Putricide and probably others.

In my book they are long gone but how come they are alive again, does anyone have any explanation for this?

“What is dead may never die”

Doubtfully, there was really no good explanation when they came back in wotlk from besides “they got rezzed”.

Lazy writers. There is really no other sensible explanation.

Bolvar had zero reasons to bring back the likes of Lanathel or Putricide. To bring back anybody from Arthas Scourge in fact.

Well, it’s just for fun I assume. There is no explanation. It will be a fun little event for nostalgic people with some loot on the side.

Bolvar always was an inadequate Lich King; not just weak physically (as showed in his duel against Sylvanas), but also weak-willed and with weak mental powers too, as he could actually control only the Scourge in Northrend while on the other continents (especially the Eastern Kingdoms) the undead either became mindless and out of his control at the same time, or some major Scourge members who retained their free will and were now free to act independently alongside the Cult of the Damned tried to rally all the undead together in order to establish a new Scourge free of the control of the Lich King (this especially happened in the Plaguelands since Cataclysm).

Also probably Bolvar has not a lot of “imagination”, and not having new ideas and not wanting the Scourge to go completely extinct, he had to raise and re-use the old monstronsities of Arthas, such as Professor Putricide (and Blood-Queen Lanathel too? Is it confirmed? Interesting :stuck_out_tongue: )

Also to be fair it’s the fault of us as adventurers/raiders too for not destroying their corpses completely the first time. When you deal with the undead Scourge (especially the very powerful ones), you always have to burn their corpses or they will return at some point in some shape, sometimes even in a “spontaneous” way without necromancers around if the area is corrupted by undeath enough, like in the Dead Scar, where ghouls, skeletons and ghosts seem able to reanimate themselves all alone without the help of any necromancer around.

So races like Blood Elves, Forsaken and Humans should know this rule very well by now. When killing the Scourge, ALWAYS burn their remnants afterwards :stuck_out_tongue:

fearly simple realy, Bolvar lost the control of the scourge, someone else powerfull enough was still alive, and now ran arround ressing everyone they felt like.

maby even some Valkyrs that was still roaming arround in northrend.

Oh, thanks…nice…and the other Blood Princes too…so I guess this is going to make people who wants San’layn as allied race in the Horde bloody crazy once again with speculation (especially on the US forum) :stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair, though, the game certainly lacks in playable elf variants. Four just don’t even scratch the surface. It’s like offering a child ice cream in only four flavours, just cruel.
