Questline skipped a step. Bug?

On a new character, after finishing Exile’s Reach and completing the Orgrimmar tour, the questline skipped directly to Zandalar, without ever offering the “Stormwind Extraction” scenario first. (I only found out that I had missed a part of the story via reddit, after it had already happened). At no point did I do anything that seemed like it is SUPPOSED to make me skip a quest-step.

If this is a bug, I would like for quest-progress to be reset to before the Stormwind Extraction scenario so I can complete it. But I cannot find any way to open a GM ticket to initiate this - it’s all an endless loop of help articles and no option to talk to a human.

Failing that, I would like detailed instructions on how to avoid this problem when I delete my character and restart Exile’s reach.

I should maybe add that I’m seeing conflicting information on the web on whether you should receive this scenario at that point.

I’m assuming you should, because the subsequent questline references the player char rescueing Talanji.

We sadly cannot reset the quest progress however there is a chat dialogue which does allow you to skip the extraction if you have already done it previously on a different character. If you have subsequent quests offered, you simply need to continue on with these. ^^

I think you misunderstood - the problem is that I WANT to do Stormwind Extraction, but the game won’t let me by not offering the quest.
