R1 titles account wide is bad

Dillon already explained it well on twitter, i’ll go a little more in depth.

it ecnourages player to stick to one class, getting their titles on their main, and then flexing on their trash level alts.

I can understand it’s frustrating to see people having several characters taking a r1 spot, but they earned it. Instead of crying, try to get good and earn it too.

I would be ok with titles/glad mounts being bound class wide, makes sense, but not account wide.

It’s uncompetitive, and like I said, encourages laziness and monoclassing, instead of grinding and really earning your title on other classes.

“but but but, PvE titles are account wide” yeah, it’s pve. It’s not comparable, getting rank1 is a lot harder than clearing mythic raids, that’s why r1 players very often clear mythic sooner or later, while pve boys most the time can’t even get 2.4k.

Blizzard, revert this, you started listening, keep doing so, especially about PvP, the part you neglected the most. You made a pvp scene, which turns automatically into a competitive environnement, and making r1 titles bound account wide, is not competitive. It’s simply bad. There is no debate.

Nyndoke is me btw, but it’s nothing new that I haven’t said here.

You actually had me until you started talking about PVE then the rest wasnt even worth reading , try remaking a new thread without bashing a huge part of players.

They should just get rid of account-wide stuff entirely.

Go back to character specific mount journals, achievements, transmog, titles etc.

no thank you, you can leave now.

Nothing wrong with account wide stuff at all , you’ve worked for a mount once I dont see why you would have to do it again just to get the exact same thing , please give a good argument as to why it would be a good thing. Achievement are already character specific for some but I can see why it would be okay to make all of them character specific.

Titles I dont see why they wouldnt be , and transmog well are transmogs , you shouldnt have to collect the same thing 1000 times

I don’t agree with this, I like the mounts (not pvp ones) and mogs being account wide, as some titles, but the hardest things should be kept on character yea

Nah, either all of it goes or none of it goes.
I’m in favor of hard distinctions, no wishy washy exceptions right and left.

You want to ride the stupid alpaca that takes a week to grind on an alt? Too bad, grind it again.

How is that fun in any way ? What about people like me who have 12 chars they maintain up to date ? I should have to grind the same mount 12 times for what reason exactly ?

Once something has been earned, it has been earned. Simple as that.

Forcing players to stick to one class/character because reasons isn’t a satisfying experience.

I agree when it comes to PvE things. but Rank1 titles should be bound to character, OR class.

Binding it to all your characters of the same class makes sense, cause if you got r1 on a horde rogue, you’ll get it again on another one. but to account, it’s uncompetitive.

The titles will just create a bit of dialog between players, that’s it. Healthy or not, I will let you decide.

Example 1:

Player: “So uh, did you get R1 on this character?”
R1 Player: “Nah man, this is my alt, but I’m a real pro”
Player: “Not interested, declined”
R1: “You ****** piece of *** I’ll ***** you!”

Example 2:

Player: "OMG ur a R1???
R1 Player: “Yeh bruh, I’m pretty cool”
Player: “OMG plz plz plz carry me, I wanna be like u when I grow up”
R1 Player: “Hehe, I know, I know…”

Lastly, let’s not be so naive as to expect PvP titles to get you into M+ / Raiding or vise versa.

I would never let a player into my arena team for his PvE titles or ilvl lol.

This game isn’t so complicated that someone who have achieved R1 is incapable of achieving it on another class.

If anything being able to display your rank on any class is a good thing because then opponents can at least have an expectation of who they are actually facing.

And no one likes to be spammed by smurfs in pvp.

You should link the tweet for others to see.

I don’t see how it’s relevant. I’m talking from a competitive pov. It’ll encourage people that are good on one class only, to stick to it and then flex on their alts for things they didn’t earn on this alt.

Just not good.

Also, talking about accepting players for pve etc is irrelevant if we trust that pvP vendors will actually give you bis gear.

This way of thinking is what causes problems…

So let them? Who cares???

You get triggered by people flexing titles? Seriously?

Just laugh and move on or turn them off in interface options entirely if your ego can’t handle it.

Ah, i thought i was talking to someone serious, but you’re not. I’m gonna ignore you now.

Only if it ends up with “nothing goes” because of “muh immersion”.

This is a non issue anyway aside from hurting the few peeps that care ego’s

Of course pve players and bottom tier pvp players won’t care. but Serious competitive players do care, and it’s bad for them, good for nobody. So why do it ?
