Yea it is worth it. You not only get bis weapon for your spec, you also get it for your second spec. Your toon will be very good in various situations. It is absolutly worth it, if you also take into account that 500k can be done in just 3 days. So you have 4 other Days in your week when you do whatever. I did 500k last week in 3 days and i had many tortuga games. Did plenty AB premade, too. No problem at all getting that honor
It depends on your priorities. R14 is the last thing Iāve never done in Vanilla wow. 5 years ago my goal was to kill Ctun and KelThuzad as that is something I regretted not achieving in Vanilla. Now I want R14 because in Vanilla I didnāt even dream about it and in classic my schedule didnāt allow for the degen grind. Now I can just about squeeze the 500k honor grind if I use all my free time in a week. So Iāll do that and hopefully finally be free of this horror after 21 years.

I lack skill and I enjoy being able to get rewards I wouldnāt get otherwise. The whole skill requirements are what led to retail which I donāt like as much.
If you are playing mage then yes Rank 14 is worth it. The dagger gives 1% crit and 71sp thats almost double of what a Mageblade gives.
The only thing that comes close to Rank 14 weapons for mage is AQ40 sword with low drop chance with same stats exept less stamina. There is also the staff in BWL with 2% crit but its warlock prio on most guilds
Rank 14 will carry you through Naxx if you get unlucky on Midnight Haze and Wraith Blade.
You also have a very good off hand in AQ20 (Canāt remember the name off it but you can scroll Atlas loot for it. It gives same SP as Rank 14 off hand but also 1% crit and 1% spell hit.
The Rank 14 staff is really only used in PvP if you need Stamina vs certain class.
I just wish AB and WSG would be a viable options. AV is just braindead and boring. Not fun. NONE!
And to people that say 500k during AV weekend is easy, youāre nuts. It still requires 20+ hours of horrible AV.
A job in real life is 40h / week.
R14 in AV is like 20-50h / week.

When I started to log in and raid Naxx once per week, it allowed me to do probably 10 other things outside this game which I never had time with otherwise.

Oh how true. Last week i got 518k and really, I dunno how.
This week, with double honor, i will do what is needed for the next step. And after that I will only do next step when itās AV weekend again. So it will take me a while, but that grind was doing my head in.
For the fun I made a level 10 mage today and it was really nice in Warsong. 
This weekend, indeed, even Alliance is keen on doing 7 minute games. Thank you <3

Im on a meme route this time and going as a smite priest so for me there is two resons i will go for R14. First of all is that i newer had a R14 caracter and second is to get items so i can start doing some raids but first as shadow to get some more items and after that im confident i will have gear to be able to go smite and dont be to meme.
