As I recall you could change faction - and I could be wrong - I don’t lose sleep about these things at my age
If you don’t like your race roll a new toon - racial traits never had any great impact upon the game.

Racial traits actually have a huge impact on your character.

Beating the game is a non issue. Its about minmaxing to parse. Being troll instead of orc is a huge increase on short fights.
Also, blizzard already said they would implement race change.

It’s Asmongold’s, and you would know his view on min/maxers - you don’t need that nonsense to clear the content.
You are chasing Parse and Parse is meaningless - for many classes being 90% plus Parse indicates you are playing badly not well.
You are amongst the people playing WoW Classic that are changing the experience - speed runners and parse chasers who have no interest in community just new and interesting ways to hit top of the meter.
Perhaps you should try chess? - Or even posting on your main?
I mean i am far away from chasing parses, still getting 99s.

If you feel the need to change race to be competitive in WotLK you have a lack of skill and need to find a different game
If you are parsing you are not making a valid contribution to a raid.
Do some research and discover your own short comings - I should not need to explain to you how you are avoiding a global cooldown by failing to assist your raid
