For alliance some kind of Dwarf
Gnome or go home, Escape artist is great macro’ed with Aspect of the Cheetah, but more so for pvp.
Evading chaos bolts or any other projectile right before it hits you with shadowmeld is good.
If you time if you can evade even storm bolt from warriors.
So Its win win for you. Enemy waste time and CD on ability( in some cases) while you just evade it.
Y’all giving examples of racials that are good for PvP when the OP expressly said “I don’t PvP”.
LF Draenei has extra AoE damage from its racial and I like the bow and gun animations. You can be Rangari! Void Elf also has a wee damage boost from racial and extra movement as well as a nice bow animation. You can even cosplay as Sylvanas now 
humans fits every transmog, they are the race developers use when create tmogs for the game, Velf are sec choice if you like to go more OldGods/Darkranger type of Hunter, take gnome if you like to be silly and not take game way to seriously, Dwarf race is good for pve bcz of the racials and here you got 3 types of dwarfs to fit how you like your Hunter to look like, fire steel and dark smokes out of theyr look ? iron you go, more elements old sets of tmog ? go pick the vanilla race, more modern and hd looking armor type and colorful pices ? go with new race of dwarfs in this expansion. If you like to have a handy fly and go fast right from the start of your hunter lvl-ing up, you go Drakhtyr they can use drake form or you can stay in vissage mode in combat and in town and only looking like a naked lizard while flying around. other races idk i don’t find them attractive nor want to play them on my main hunter, i only played once as worgen but when i change to survive spec look stupid with their two-handed animations and i bought a race changer. Right now i play with Velf bcz its good with that passive bonus dps and it not req a CD nor spell in my spell bar to use or sync with other hunter spells also its feeting for the TWW expansion and i will change back again to Nelf when other expansion come up in 2/3 years
