i have a human palalalaladin already.
need alliance race help, specifically gonna be a tank, racials and looks important 
please advise! i don’t pvp but wouldnt be against it
No clue about pvp, but race only matters for pushing high keys from what i know and you want dark iron dwarf for that(omni self dispell + primary stat boost). For anything else just play whatever race is coolest for you.

First of all, as Soupala pointed out, the role of racials is minimal, it is far important to like the looks of the race you play.
Nevertheless, there are several things to consider if there are several races you like.
- DI Dwarves and ordinary dwarves are usually preferred for high keys due to their universal dispel racial.
- While not optimal, Will to Survive racial can sometimes save you from your own mistake. Most of the time as a tank you get stunned only if you made a mistake, but that ability will cover you. Having said that, you also have Divine Shield that will save you from almost any dire situation. “Human Spirit” is a solid boost of all your secondary stats, very handy to have.
- Light Forged Draeneis are going to have +1% healing starting with next patch. Even as a protection paladin you’re still going to do good amount of healing both on yourself and your group members so this talent will come in handy. + you have 2.5 min cooldown strong damage spell, nothing game changing, but a nice button to press.
- Normal Draeneis have a very minor buff to their main stat ( much worse than human’s) + a weak heal with 3 min cooldown.
Non combat wise, DI Dwarves and LF Draenei have Blacksmith bonus (which will be very helpful to craft top quality items, if you decide to go into this profession), Draenei have a similiar JC bonus. Humans have a bonus to their Hearthstone that will allow you almost never have it on cooldown and DI dwarves have 30 min cooldown travel ability, that will allow you to quickly get to different places across most continents.
