Racial customisation on Classes (spells and abilities)

I wonder if blizzard have ever considered it? Like a series of glyphs that you can swap in race themed spells for some class spells that would automatically give your character a feel of being much more of their race.

They could do it with glyphs, or maybe a new racial spell tab as it is would be a bit more involved like a racial tab.

I’ve always felt most classes are too “generic” and need a heavier race flavour, but had to figure out a cool system to do so. How does my void elf feel more voidy playing a mage, or hunter or warrior? Which is what you would expect it to be more than the ordinary?

Well what if I had an assortment of race based spells I could glyph or cosmetically change certain class spells. so instead of “arcane shot” - i could glyph in void bolt.

Examples:
Each race would have a selection of spells and weapons based on their racial theme you can collect and substitute up to 3 at of your main class abilities with. It changes the spell appearance, but you still do the same damage and mechanic.

Fitted for single spells, aoe spells, single melee (some will use racial weapons instead of magic), aoe melee (could be racial weapons), healing spells, aoe healing spells

What weapons and spell types do you reckon the races should have? HEre is what I could come up with based on the race’s main theme

  • Void Elves: Series of void spells (lke the ones in 8.3), void bow for weapons

  • Lightforged: Series of light spells , Light sword for weapon melee

  • Draenei: Mixture of Naaru spells, crystal utilisation, crystal maces

  • Tauren and Highmountain: totem weapons and some earth based elemental spells

  • Blood elves: Mixture of fire and light spells maybe some blood ones. Bow and glaive for weapon

  • Night elves: Mixture of star/moon arcane spells and night (void but Night fae style rather than void elf ones) spells, Bow and glaives for weapon

  • Nightborne: Series of arcane spells, time warp spells and night spells, conjured weapon for melee

  • Trolls: Series of hex spells, blood spells, loa nature spells

  • Gnomes: Gadgets, robots, techy guns, engineering based abilities

  • Goblins: explosives, alchemaic potions and alchemy-engineering based abilities

  • Pandas: Chi, kegs and unarmed combat abilities

  • Orcs: bloodlust rage abilities, ancestor abiitlites - we need an iconic orc weapon

  • Dwarves: titan abilities, lightning hammer abilities, hammer weapon

  • Worgen: Bites, clawering, something special linked to the worgen curse magic

  • Forsaken: death magic, domination magic

Some of these ofc will overlap with some class abiltiies naturally, but you may find yourself able to use some of the abilities famous NPCs or mobs and bosses have used too in addition to new ones.
