If all combat related racials were removed and free race changes were available at the barber would you go for it?

Most of my chard are maghar orc or Zandalari Troll. I don’t really care about getting combat advantages with racials. I think it would be kind of cringeworthy to me, if someone would try to get advantages with that, unless they play competitively
Removing all racials related to combat would be dumb af without adding non-combat racials to the races missing them then.
And free race changes at the Barber would be another stupid thing. Yes, very player friendly. But very stupid for the gameplay loop of creating alts. Just make 1 toon per class instead of more than that.
I started as a blood elf on my paladin and thats just part of her identity. Even when another race has been deemed stronger, i dont change.

I dont pick race because of the racial so wouldnt matter to me. Would never change race on this one, been a draenei since 2007, anything else would just feel wrong.

Would I? Probably. But only on characters that I want to race change already, but don’t want it enough to pay for it.
That doesn’t mean it isn’t a stupid idea, though. Paid services fill the gap between subscription income and the costs involved in actually keeping the game running.
There used to be this game called World of Warcraft.
That game had 4 core pillars:
- Great combat
- Sense of world
- Sense of community
- Constant stream of content
Classic can’t have #4 obviously, unless Blizzard does Classic+.
And now we’re in a place where a player character’s gender, race, and several other appearance options simply aren’t permanent despite obviously seeming so when looking at them.
I so desperately wish this was still the game where I could run through the open world and wave hello to a friend passing by, or where I could gather in large groups and be recognised not just for my name, but for how I looked.
A game where the way my character looked was also intricately tied to what factions might like me or give me favours, and where that physicality could be exploited in combat even if I weren’t orc/human/NE/UD
That game was special. It defined a decade of my life. I miss that game. This thread gives me mild depression because of how reasonable it is precisely because of how much damage this game has taken by developers who have no conception of how an MMO works or what they’re even working on.

Id probably change race like 5 times a day
Which, obviously, is absolutely wretched, but understandable. Your race would be like your Covenant. Ridiculous proposal, but knowing the current player base it wouldn’t surprise me if they wanted this, since everyone who enjoyed being persistent entities in Warcraft’s world and lore, with their experiences reflected in their appearances, have long since the left the game…

Thats a bit over dramatic isnt it? 
Id still be a void elf main. Theyre the race i like the most.
But running around as a gnome for a bit would just be funny.
And some questlines like the defias one are better when done on a human.
And then with old content, many allied races werent around back then. Maybe if youre a nightborne main youd want to swap to a race that was canonically involved… or at least not canonically impossible to have been involved.
If this were any genre but MMORPG, yes.
But it is.
It may seem dramatic, but things have gone very, very wrong.
This is consequence of how they have failed to keep their world transient and updated, and relates to sense of world. It is another fundamental mistake to feather their hat, and does not serve as a bad excuse for race changes.
I don’t pick races based on racials.
And I change races regularly; so yes I would go for it. It would save me some cash.
Wouldnt help this dragon much, now would it? 
Racials should be disabled for high end content like mythic raids, m+ and rated pvp.

Racials don’t mean anything to me, I could care less if they’re removed tbh.
The difference in performance on most racials is so miniscule. They are irrelevant.
Maybe if you are in that 0.1% of the playerbase who are incredibly good at pressing their buttons. But for the rest of us, they are meaningless.
