My daughter’s have both recently got into playing WoW. I sent my youngest a RAF invite and paid for a 12 month subscription, all went well.
Problem we’re have is that my eldest got recruited by her grandmother, when she logs in, my mother sees ‘recruit’ next to her name. Yet, there are no benefits.
They cannot summon each other, my mother is not gaining any of the other benefits and the game masters are simply not understanding the problem.
(She also has a 12 month subscription and we made sure everything was done correctly.)
At this point I am at my wits end, we spent a considerable amount of money on both girl’s subscriptions. Only one has a successful RAF and customer support won’t help.
My entire family plays WoW, but we’re left with a sour taste in our mouths following the horrible support we have received.
Is anyone else having the same issue?

Won’t, or can’t?
Customer Support are not in-game GM’s, and can’t actually help with most game releated issues. You need to talk to a GM, via a ticket, in game.
I’m sorry if you’ve already done that, but you keep using terms “game master” and “customer support”, they are two different teams, so I’m not sure which one you spoke to.
Customer Support work the forums, while Game Masters work in-game.
This is the least helpful comment. Thank you for the ‘advice’?
I have an open ticket, through what Blizzard refers to as ‘Customer Support’, being responded to by people who refer to themselves as ‘Game Masters’.
Therefore you will see that my post uses both CS and GMs.

It wasn’t advice, it was asking for clarification whom you spoke to, because if you spoke to the forum staff, then the advice would have been to make a ticket in game.
But, seems you just wanted to vent, so I will leave you to it.
I spoke to Blizzard customer support. Trying to get them to rectify this and it has been quite the struggle, they are not helping. I was not referring to forum moderators. This is my first time on the forums (I believe).
Apologies if I came across as rude/impatient.
I will agree on one thing.
Customer Service and the GM help is no longer what it used to be. But we can’t blame the CS or GM’s, its the management thats at fault, with staff reductions. They do try, but I suspect they aren’t allowed enough time per ticket to really digest what its about, and just copypasta a response.
All I can honestly advise, is to reopen the tickets by marking it as not resolved. Don’t open a new ticket as that starts the process all again, reopen the ticket instead. Unless they hard closed it so that it can’t be reopened. Then you would need to open a new ticket.
Hopefully it will get escalated to a more senior GM, with enough time to actually read the tickets.

It has been like this with customer service for some time now .keep trying .keep the ticket open with reply .you will eventually get a gm who will understand the problem
They all seemed pretty illiterate and didn’t understand anything.
It’s simple really, the account was created (game downloaded) using the recruit a friend link. She’s never played the game before, but all they say is the account can’t be more than 7 days old and shouldn’t have had paid subscription for over 24 months. Neither applies to this.
They closed the ticket. So unfortunately their incompetence has just shown me that this game probably isn’t best for for my family.
Glad they chose to save a few RAF rewards over 4 continuous subscriptions in our family.
