Rage normalization is the only solution

It was introduced for a reason and it was good :

Rage is being normalized so that its generation is no longer based on damage done by auto-attacks. Each auto-attack will provide a set amount of Rage, with off-hand weapons granting 50% of the Rage main-hand weapons do. Haste will allow Rage to generate more rapidly by increasing attack speed. In addition, while taking damage, the amount of Rage generated will now be based on the Warrior’s health rather than the opponent’s level. The essence of this change is to improve the scaling that occurs with Warrior gear. With Warriors balanced around the top tiers of items, we’ve found that the class tends to underperform more drastically than others in lower-quality items. These changes should correct that.

Otherwise, wars will still suck for the next phase.

Yes, warriors will no more be N°1 dps (and it’s already the case) and we don’t know what they will add to the other classes anyway, but at least it will help war from leveling till gearing.

This wouldn’t help in SoD right now. The issue is Warriors have huge RNG limitations and getting BiS gear reduces it massively which why they scale so well.

We just need to reduce that RNG so we are less gear reliant then buff/nerf ability to match. Currently without any hit chance gear, I will often just miss 2/3 attacks in a row. So I rely entirely on rage pots in many openings but even still I can miss a few more times and be rage starved again.

Basic hits also dont give enough rage vs crits. We dont need full normalisation here, just bring it in line a bit, change the curve to give a bit more at the lower ends and flatten out faster at higher damage.

Just simple number changes like better base hit chance and improve rage to damage scaling would keep warriors competitive without being as reliant on gear. If they then needed to nerf some abilities to keep us in line with other class then cool no complaints from me.

Also nerf Wild Strikes and Wind Fury and buff all melee classes / specs slightly to compensate so we are not useless without them. Right now warrior damage is only viable with these buffs which is just dumb.

But no amount of rage normalisation will fix me missing 3 attacks in a row and missing a feral druid.

Warrior also should generate rage when hitting priest and mage shield

Warriors need to stop complaining about being weak in the middle levels to be OP at 60, or accept rage normalisation

No, it isn’t, rage normalisation will do nothing to help warriors in PVP, stop being a bot and reposting the same comment in different threads.

Makes warrior as easy to play as the other classes, just doing a brainless rotation. The fun of warrior is having to adapt to how much rage you have.

Rage normalisation was introduced because it was the only way to make warrior balanced at different gear levels.

It’s simple: either stop complaining about being weak before level 60, or accept rage normalisation.

Don’t agree tbh, rage normalization was the retail way of fixing things, or in other words making it lame and dull.

  • You can improve rage on taking damage (will also help prot warrior A LOT)
  • You can regen rage when out of combat to a max of 20-30 rage (doesn’t change raid performance as the 1% use rage pots or pre rage on trash anyway, and also fixes the annoying Battle shout and Commanding shout)
  • Second wind (also doesn’t effect raids much, only prot warrior which need it)

So far all the fixes they tried are very boring

  • 25% more rage on hit (only 2H)
  • 20% attack speed (only 2H)
  • -3 rage on offensive abilities (worse compared to slam)

They simply gotta add some ways that improves the lower end of the warrior spectrum without effecting the top end, +% gains DOES improve the top end without helping much for the lower end because low base damage also means less gain from that %.

And yes warrior still scale well with gear but with how much other classes have improved that gear is simply unobtainable for most plus you need even better gear to scale vs the other classes than ever before.

Boost rage generation up to a certain threshold and then diminishing returns perhaps? 2x up to 30 rage, 1x to 50 and 0.5x to 100 or something along those lines?
