Raging Tempests/Primalist gear at 1/3 not able to convert to S1 Tier

I didn’t see anything official, but I recall hearing (during the development phase of 10.1.5) that at least during 10.0.7, the upgrade level 1/3 gear “of Raging Tempests” (a.k.a. Primalist gear) could be converted into an S1 LFR Tier item, and that this would be possible again with 10.1.5, when S1 gear would be eligible for the Catalyst once more.

Currently this is not the case, sadly. This ironically makes the S1 LFR appearances harder to obtain than the S1 Normal ones, as the latter is farmable via the Primalist tokens from Forbidden Reach rares.

No, blue items could never be converted. You had to upgrade to rank 2 to be able to convert them. Since other sources of season 1 gear are no longer available you’ll have to run LFR vault for LFR appearances.
