Raid finder: Can you please remove the penalty when

  • Raid Finder can place you in any boss order, including starting with the last boss.
  • Re-queuing for the same wing after killing the last boss can lead to penalties.
  • Leaving before encountering a boss you’ve already defeated results in a 30-minute penalty.
  • This system worked differently in previous expansions or was fixed before.
  • In the current expansion, it seems like this issue has been overlooked by the developers.

Pls fix, it is so annoying having 30 min break from game every time this happends.

You are leaving a wing that is still in progress? That’s the only way to get a penalty. You are deserting and they will have to find a replacement for you.

However, if you complete the wing and all bosses are dead, you definitely shouldn’t be getting any penalty.

Earlier expansions you did not get penalty when leaving before the bosses you already killed. That’s because you might be randomly placed into a half-done raid, and you didn’t have to do those bosses again when re-signing.

Now you are getting the penalty. If it is intentional they need to stop placing people into half-done wings.

You still can get deserter, they changed it and it is very bad decision!

I think we are misunderstanding each other. Completing the wing is killing all the bosses. Regardless of whether a player has killed them before. The player’s kill status has nothing to do with completion of a wing.

If you go in kill one boss and leave then you do indeed get the deserter penalty UNLESS it was the only remaining boss.

People are leaving prematurely and the groups have to be refilled. The penalty is applied then yes.

i hate ending up in an almost done content, even entering BG´s that are losing big time and only have 5 mins to hit something x.x

I dont want to rekill 2 last bosses I already killed and you are not supposed to get deserter when you only need first boss. Dont you agree?

So you are leaving a wing in progress, aha! OK that answers that part at least, this isn’t a bug and it is how they intend.

I don’t necessarily agree with you or the system. The change was brought in after people complained of players leaving dungeons after one boss, or a specific boss dropping desirable loot, in the past leaving after a boss had been killed or being present for a period of time would lessen the deserter buff or not apply it at all.

I tend to do repeat wings last after I’ve done any others. That way when I leave I don’t care that I get the deserter buff.

If you dont care about deserter then join LFR/dungeon and left insant, do it 10 times! You cant do anything for hours! Do you like it? Yes or No? :rofl: :rofl:

I’m sorry if my post wasn’t clear. Might help if you read the whole (but short) paragraph:-

I do the wing that I will have to re-queue for until last. This way when I leave after one boss, it does not impact me to have the deserter buff, because I’ve already queue for everything.

They changed the deserter debug early on in war within because people would q into ara Kara see the first boss was dead and leave or join the group kill first boss and leave.
