Raid Groups

I was just in a raid and they were calling out groups against N’zoth, I couldn’t actually see my group number. Is there any way to find this out in the settings? I couldn’t see it anywhere.

open raid interface on the left side of the screen, disable/show groups until you see the one you’re in.

cumbersome but works

Above your character portrait it should say in subtle grey text “Group 1” or whatever number you are.

It would also be useful to do this:
Esc -> Interface -> Raid Profiles -> Tick “Keep Groups Together”. That way you can see who is in what group just by looking at all the raid frames.

I’m using Elvui, maybe it doesn’t show with that?

It’s ticked. But doesn’t actually show me what group number I’m in, unless the first group starts bottom or top?

Ah. With Elvui I’m not too sure.

Maybe this from a reddit thread will help:

Okay. This is a Bit tricky. You go Into your unitframe settings and go to raid. There you enter a new Custom Lua Text, call it wat u want. The Lua Text itself is rather simple. You enter

[Group]

That should show you the Number on every raid Frame.

I’d imagine ELVUI has it organised by raid groups by default anyways. So you could just figure it out via looking at your position on the raid frames. It’s groups of 5 and they go in order.
Usually left to right but if you’ve customized your frames then possible top to bottom.

You could also hit ‘O’ (if not rebound) to open up the raid profile and tell that way.

So to access Raid in unitframes I have to disable smart filter, but shouldn’t the filter tell me what group I’m in.

To be honest I’m not sure it’s by column or row in my raid frames, abit confusing.
