Would love to see if they could change how ID lockouts work in SoD.
The current system just holds 0 value.
We had to end our Raid early to some issues at 5/7 Bosses and now its almost impossible to find new people that would join our started ID and not all of the people that were in that raid can join up again.
Got plenty of people with ID lockouts though that would love to join but cant because we still have this antique system in Place…
Thats classic for you though
I completly agree, this system is very unfriendly for many people, we had to end our raid due to server crash few days ago and couldn’t finish it afterwards, because people can’t join our ID
This is something that needs to be changed
It doesnt need to do anything, lockouts have worked perfectly fine for many years as it is.
Its something that would help pugs a lot, but this is not a change that is a easy fix unless you change tons lof other stuff in addition.
Its very unlikely that the classic community would react positive to such a big change to how the game runs.
Its as said an antique system that holds 0 value and adds nothing to gameplay.
If there are people that would find a change about it bad then im sorry but I cant call them anything else but retarded…
Not like we are already playing a new type of classic already…
Perfectly fine? I don’t want to be rude but this sounds like a joke to me. Unless You have perfectly synced group of 10 people, this ID thing is currently a sad and very annoying thing to play around.
You dont have a guild where you get your group from? you know pugs are not really what vanilla was about, even though you for sure could pug everything is much easier if you have a guild
This system is almost 20 years old, not everyone wants to be a part of the guild and do raids only at certain days and certain hours, I play with many friends from rl and in-game, we don’t plan these activities, I just want to find people, kill bosses and be done with it.
Besides, sometimes people leave and you are basically screwed
Why would it matter if it was designed as you claim? It does not change the fact that its a flawed system and with SoD could be changed to be better.
I dont know anyone that likes it this way it just hinders people from playing the game-
It promotes being social and finding a guild (or a stable pug) changing it promotes just random trade chat pugs, trade chat pugs are bad for the social aspect as they encourage solo play.
It doesn’t make sense. 5/7 should be able to group with other 5/7, the lock is stupid.
How is gathering a 10 men group being a solo play I ask You Sir?
There is a reason it was changed in future expansions. This is flawed system, which can punish you for OTHERS mistakes (lack of patience, lack of dungeon knowledge)
I agree that ‘pugging’ isn’t perfect, but at least You have an option to actually play through game without commiting to some guild fanatics who expect you to play by their rules
It wasnt changed untill Cata, and it have worked fine through classic, tbc and wrath.
Not commiting to a guild is basicly being a lone wolf unless you find a stable pug (a guild in all but name)
It was not fine my friend.
People just grit theyre teeth and didnt talk about it.
It does not make people be more social at all. It promotes having to rely on good grps which is bad for raiders that are worse at the game and cant guarantee a clear of the Raid.
People want to play the game nothing more nothing less. This just prevents you from doing that.
How can we promote this post, I want more people to address this issue
Nah if it wasnt fine people would have been making posts about it (and not just a few)
If you dont get into a guild or a stable pug it promotes being a eltist and just go for “the best” but in a guild it promotes bringing people who actually show up even if they are not the best, as if something goes wrong (like the servers going down) you will be able to pick it up again if those people are the once you bring.
No it dosnt, it just makes it so that if people join you for a raid that is already partially cleared they get locked into that ID, it dosnt stop you from playing the game. It might stop the exact way you would want to play the game the most but its not stopping you from playing the game and it makes people think about how reliable people are in guilds and not just how good their dps is
So forcing 10 people to raid together is ok? Imagine if Your group of friends isn’t playing ideal class composition (which is a thing in classic) what are you going to do if you need to replace a specific spec, OR need a specific spec for different fights?
I don’t see any arguments for having the current ID lockout.
Meanwhile there is huge list of arguments against it
How is anyone forcing anyone here?
the only fight where you ever needed to do anything other than bring the people was 4 horsemen, and now we have 3 more classes that can taunt per faction so thats fairly easy to get now.
The only argument I see for changing is that some people dont want to be in a guild and play the game as intended, you are not supposed to be able to go all lone wolf in this game if you want the best things.
If you get served sh** do you eat it?
Why do classic players so insist that bad systems are good for the game?
How can you not see how this system is outdated and holds 0 value at all neither for socializing nor for gameplay.
Most Guilds are as much of a Pug as just looking for people in the lfg chat.
Youre reasoning is flawed on so many levels…
Just becouse you dont like a system dosnt mean its bad.
Becouse it holds value even though you cant see it.
Only if you are in a bad guild.
Your reasoning is flawed on so many levels.
