Hello, as a raid leader i have a concern involving weakly rewards from great vault that are too far behind m+ rewards.
Me as m+ main focus player will end ten +15 dungeons with chance on 236 loot but from GW i will loot 252!
Now my fellow raiders that are casual or just doesnt like idea of mythic+ and are interested only in raid content are screwed hard. Normal 226 loot = weekly GW 226 same for every dificulty. It just doesnt seem right.
I would recomend for weekly raid GW to automatically dropping items at value of last 2 bosses atleast 233N/246H/259M to make it just as valuable for players to choose from.
There are also valor points for m+ witch make loot from m+2 more worthy in long therm than hc raid loot since raid loot cant be improved but m+ loot can be made 246 with raiting.
It must be frustrating for players that are doing high-end content to not be able to get even comparable gear if they are not ballsdeep mythic player that can clear most of raid.
Mythic+15 are on pare with hc dificulty i would say so weekly rewards should be at least comparable.
Yes i know from last 2 bosses is unlocked item level i wrote , but only for few items and it is not guarantied.
Pleace consider it for better game experience of raid focus players. Thanks for reading.
But you’re not a casual, are you? Casuals aren’t doing 10 x +15s at this stage of the patch (or any +15s, in fact, and probably won’t be doing them even at the end of the patch). Your fellow raiders who are doing normal raid are more at the level of +7/8 keys. Just at the point where there are 3 affixes to deal with, but not yet where things become particularly difficult.
I would say they’re harder than HC raid. Certainly not as hard as mythic, but harder than HC. (At least for the regular players who just have to do their own job - as raid leader it must be so much harder keeping on top of everything that’s going on and I have a great deal of admiration for good RLs.)
Raiding is already highly incentivised this patch by being the only source of domination shards and gear, and the information I’ve seen is that a domination socket puts a 239 piece of gear on par with a 252 without one. I don’t think raiders are being short changed this patch. (And I raid HC myself as well as doing M+ so I don’t have a personal interest in favouring one over the other.)
Well for mythic+ im not casual, but that being said i think 15s are pretty eazy compared to raid from those reasons
you can learn only one dungeon and spam it and you will get a lot of diferent gear etc.
You will learn and kill whole m15 in shorter time with higher chance for loot, expecially that those tactics doesnt change so most players allready know what to do, you are not forced to time it for loot.
You are depending only on 4 other peoples and even if you took one just as spectator most dungeon wont be problem if rest is good, it is much harder in raid where it is scalling and if you have few low dpses you wont make it.
I switched character from furry to resto sham for this season and started at 215item lvl 15 renown no legendary and i did all 15-16s first week, so they are not that hard to do.
Than i inspect my raiders that do exactly same content as me, except they dont do m+ , max 1 12-14for weekly that i force them by inv no excuses, and they are at 222± all.
For me that is just huge diference, even so we do just normal raid right now since i made group for peoples that want only enjoy raids not tryhard. But even if we did hc that drops better gear as m15 basic they wont catch me at all since its random personal and one huge diference in weekly vault that im pointing at.
I just cant shake old fealing from the past that Raid rewards should be best you will earn or comparable at least, even after clearing whole hc i rarery choose raid reward, maybe shards will make diference, but it system from blizz and those never work as intended.
They are, actually - for ‘ordinary’ players. I have a lot of friends who got KSM last season, which puts them in an elite 2% of players who get KSM in any season. Not one of them was capable of doing every dungeon at 15 in time (yes, you did - I checked) in the first week of this season. And that’s despite having started the season in s1 end gear at ~10 ilvls higher than your shammy.
And let’s take another look at your RIO page, this time at the spec ranks. Oh, look. You’re ranked 857 in the world right now for resto shammy. Not the region - the world. You may think that isn’t particularly spectacular, but my regular healer is currently ranked 4,306. She’s run 10 or more keys a week since the season started, she’s a damn good healer and she worked hard for that rank.
You are in a different league. What you’ve done is not easy. For the vast majority of players, it is, and always will be, impossible.
Which brings us to…
They don’t do ‘exactly the same content’ as you. They don’t do anywhere near the same content as you. The only content they have in common with you is normal raid.
Should they catch you? Honestly? When they’re obviously nowhere near your level of skill, commitment and dedication.
I get that you want to help them. I feel the same way with my friends who aren’t making as much progress as me, but there are really only two things you can do. One is to teach and encourage them so that they develop the skill (and commitment and dedication) that you have and earn the same rewards. The other is to accept that they’re not you, that they don’t have the same level of energy, time and commitment for the game as you do, and that their choices and level of ability place a cap on the level of gear they can obtain.
Asking the game to give them things they haven’t earned isn’t doing them any favours.
Primary way for raiders to get loot is killing the raid bosses.
Primary way for M+ players to get loot is the weekly chest.
While something could certainly be done about this, it would require massive changes to the M+ loot system as well.
Yes, something M+ players often complain about. We’re entirely reliant on the weekly chest/vault. Raiders, can go and raid, and actually get worthwile rewards.
While you can upgrade M+ gear, you cannot get it to mythic quality outside Weekly chest.
The higher ilvl raiders get from the last 2 bosses is entirely unatainable outside raiding.
What are you talking about, you get 236 drops from a +15 which is almost heroic level and then you can upgrade it to 246. M+ gives way too much loot compared to raiding. It’s not uncommon for someone to kill 10 raid bosses and not get one upgrade.
