Raid Loot Problems With PUG

Hello,
I’ve noticed an issue with loot in pug raids, let me describe the issue:
game mech says that if you have the item with current loot item level, you can’t roll for it but if not, you can roll for it, the issue is that many people create alt characters and they come in pug raids with hero gear and roll for an item and after that they sell it right there, easy weekly gold for them, and p2w for other players!
and I have the solution for it too: when you won an item with roll in pug raid groups it becomes untradeable, and you can’t sell it anymore! and if the player suddenly sells the item to a vendor or something like that, they can submit a ticket for it or they can roll for that item again! the issue solved! and solo players can play the game much safer!

A readily available solution is to join a raiding guild/group or a Discord community that organizes raids (No Pressure, Chill Streak, etc). That solves a number of problems and it doesn’t require the developers to make changes.

That said, I don’t feel that enabling cross-server gold trading was a positive change for the game.

hmm I know , BUT keep that in mind that solo players always save mmorpg games from death ,

The only solution is Need before Greed wins the roll and the item becomes soulbound. Alternatively is to reintroduce that if you have a lower item level you cant trade the higher item level which essentially is soulboun anyway.

Just boggles my mind that they did not introduce this from the start.

I’m agree for real !!!

Just make personal loot like in dungeons and that will kill all problems.

That would certainly solve a lot of issues, not sure everyone would like it though.

Ofc, it will solve lots of issues.

It’s exactly the reason group loot was introduced, to remove such restrictions. And to our continuous suffering.

First let me say: I am one of those people that are ok with people taking gear and being able to do whatever they want with it (also got items that were upgrades for my characters, and traded them because people offered me a hefty sum of gold for them).

Having said that, I am totally ok with items becoming soulbound if people won them with need. It removes the trading element from random pugs/lfr, but it still leaves it for coordinated groups (and yes, any coordinated group that is using master looter can bypass this by having everyone pass and the loot master greeding).

I’m agree with that it becomes untradeable with pug/lfr .

Just join a guild kek

what about solo players ? who kept game alive all these years ?

There was no LFR back in vanilla wotlk and it was pure “raid or die”. Yet WoW peaked at 12M.

An MMORPG game shouldn’t make solo play as its “main focus”.

but you can’t deny it that it was solo players who saved the game !

Saved how exactly?

And what is even a solo player in your eyes. There can be solo gathers/crafters, solo questers or lore peps, solo pvp guys and so forth.

Was there stuff to do for solo peps? Sure.
But I doubt wotlk “saving grace” was raid pugging.

maybe you like the system right now ?

It’s good for alts that about it

Personal and soulbound loot can solve this . I want personal loot back

yeah it needs to be soulbound loot in raid with pug or lfr .
