I can’t even get to Diurna or Raszageth without droves of players just leaving after a particular boss. It wastes so much time for me and other players.
Has to be the most toxic part of this game. No fun at all.

Make your own group and put in the description - '‘the intent of this group is to learn the encounter. We will wipe loads. If this is not what you are looking for join something else’.
When you are about to start the raid reiterate this, say '‘if you are not looking to wipe loads please leave now, this group is to learn the encounter’.
I did this last week and 3 hours later we had downed Diurna. had a couple of leavers - by that point we had all learnt the encounter so when we requeued put it as ‘‘know tactics’’ instead so we wouldn’t have to teach someone from square one. I pugged 7/8 last week with 0 experience of the raid.
It’s just using common sense. But people make out on here and other forums pugging is impossible. It isn’t, it is easy as hell if you just put a tiny bit of effort in.
You can tell from the forum there are literally thousands of people who want to raid but are all ‘’‘wahhhhhh wahhhh no group will take me’’ so you just make a group for them. Never fails.
You wont get anyone into your raid group. People simply doesnt want wate their time progressing and learning boss when they might also just do 1 fast m+ dungeon and get faster and even better rewards instead of wasting hours to progress single boss with very minor chqnce of getting an item.
This game is all about the carry now. If you want to progress you need to be in a guild. Sorry it’s sh**ty but thats the world we live in now.
Try joining active guild. Make your group with description “learning run”. People will join because most want to learn too. But as someone above said, it’s already about carry not learning.
Check groups that write “progression run” but usually you will waste a lot of time.
The best and surest solution is joining a guild. Many still do normal but if your m+ gear is on par, they will take you easy into heroic mode.
Please don’t feed the gnome…
No idea what you all are talking about.
I’m doing raid after raid after raid. People keep leaving before doing the last two bosses. Are most players joining after already doing those last two bosses? I don’t think so.
Many guilds offer runs for only the last two bosses and they go “every 20 minutes” which sounds ridiculous. So probably that’s why people leave before last 2 bosses
This is why guilds exists in the game.
Join or form one with your playstyle.
Pug life was ALWAYS like that even in Vanilla WoW.
Player expectations vary when it comes to pugging, some are happy to just keep going and learn or wait for others to learn what to do in a fight and some don’t want to spend the time re-progressing and just want a kill. Some simply don’t have the time to spare and want a quick in and out.
Guilds and/or Communities tend to be better at that kind of thing. You are with like minded individuals.
Did you not read the post? I literally did this last week and had a full team of 20 people within ten minutes. You aren’t even trying. ‘‘You won’t get anyone into your raid group’’ this is absolute rubbish. I’ve been making these ‘‘learn the fight’’ groups for the past two weeks now and people are dying to get into the groups. I can’t believe you have the audacity to say no-one will join, people are DESPERATE to join learning/progress groups.
If the OP of this thread made one like I suggest he’ll have a great time. I can’t believe you say ‘‘no one will join’’ that is the biggest load of crap I have ever heard.
People will join in no time.
It’s a pug people don’t really care what you want
they always join for the loot they do not care about your experience so if you fail they gonna leave try next group…it’s that simple
Get a guild for better raiding and then watch the guild become the LFR player pool.
Put them on ignore. Also state ‘full run, fresh’ or something when finding people. Tell them they’re expected to stick around.
I’m not in a guild and I progressed to 7/8 with absolutely 0 prior experience, just pugging last week. if you want to progress you can find a way to do it guild or not. You can do it how I mentioned in my first post here.
You people just don’t make any effort.
