Raid sizes are really going to affect how we all play the game in the future. I understand that there are huge guilds where there are people who feel bad that they cannot play with everyone right now.
For me 10 man raids are perfect. I would even prefer lower maximum say 7-8 players. I might be minority here but I don’t have that many friends lol. I play this game to play with friends, I’m a dad player and so are most of my friends. SoD has been a blessing at how casual it really is. People are sweating for BFD for no reason lol (except parsing which is good fun).
**So, my hopes for the future are the following: **
We get same content for 7-10 man and 20-25 man raids. Same loot, same raid. No item lvl drop for smaller raids, just make them equally hard.
Ilvl drop has always been horrible idea imo. Same items, different ilvls just no. For me the hardest part will be to get 25 man raid together, it’s always a hassle. If raid sizes grow too big, the casual and fun as hell experience we’ve had phase 1 is gone.
I love this game and I really don’t think this would take anything away from anyone. I want to keep playing but I’m afraid that bigger raid sizes will be too time consuming for a dad gamer like me.
Anyway big up for the dev team once again gg!

Couldn’t agree more with everything!
It’s the same for me - dadgamer and we are a group of 7 irl friends playing together most of the time. Getting 3-4 random people into our group is easy. We all have very irregular timetables… so guild raiding was always hard. SoD is truely the Season of Dadgamers and we are all enjoying it a lot… no idea why there are so many sweaties min/maxing the hell out of the most casual version of WoW, but it doesn’t affect me all that much so whatever.

Hopefully they utilize scaling flex raid, as in 10-30 man in p2 and onwards.

20/25 mans/new raids/new mechanics in old ones would be nice, got no interest in running the same mundane 40 man raids again for the 4th time over, without any tweaking and with the new runes etc they will be just as bad as bfd, organisation of 40 mans is just bleh as well.
25 man and 40 man raids is what i want.

I’d like them to implement flex raiding. Starting at 10 and going up to 40. The more players, the more loot kind of deal. That way us dadgamers can chill at 10 and the big guilds can do their 25 or 40 runs, everybody wins! Righ?

10-20 man raiding should be max nothing more boring than 40man

Playing in 2019-2021 40ppl raids didn’t brought a great sence of community. The rotation was heavy especially after loot dramas, guilds slowly broke up and only warriors and rogues made it to other guilds having some gear behind their name. The cherry on to was the fact that the amount of loot drop was around 4 items per boss. That is the same for 40ppl as it was for 25 ppl raids ever since TBC.

As long as i run GDKP 90% of the time, this would be a great change !
Even better change would be if, Blizzard took 90% cut of the runned GDKP to battle inflation and the gold totally out of the economy.

10 man or less raids are ideal. Most MMOs now are 8-10 man raids and for good reason. Anything bigger requires so much effort to run and has a huge diminishing return on fun.
The other thing I’d prefer for the level up raids is to set the lockout back to 1 week but with more loot dropping to compensate.
Sod is alt friendly to an extent but if you run more than 2 chars you are raiding every other day of the week which is just too much for most people to commit to.

It’s gonna be 10-man forever. 40-man ain’t gonna work in SOD, nor others format.

Would be kinda cool if with the current gear improvements they aim for 10 man zg, mc, aq, naxx etc
SOD is build upon accessibility and casual experience of the game, if the 40 man raids are mandatory to gear think it’s gg for many many SOD enjoyers
Or at least have a happy balance so 40 man can exist next to 10 man so there is something for both

I missed classic due to real life going to hell for me - so I (maybe selfishly) really want 40 man raids
You think you do, but trust me - you don’t.
They will be a novelty the first time for the participants, but everlasting hell for the folks who are organising it.

10 man both better for pugs and organizing raids as guild leader i hope at least they lower vanilla raids into 20-25
