If you want an answer, read the “ban RIO” thread, I won’t post it here because you are saying that you are “outta here” anyway and because this is off-topic.
If you take a closer look you will see that the topic keeps getting derailed exactly by the defenders of RIO, I am merely responding to their questions.
So, kindly stop your “These people try”. You are addressing it in the wrong direction.
Just so we are completely clear, a couple of my posts in this thread were answers to YOUR questions. So, your “These people” actually include you yourself.
I find it cool to see how nearly everyone has improved over the seasons.
You’ve gone from 384 in Season 1 to 3426 in Season 4 … very impressive
And if you notice, as people climb in RIO often they also have increased raid participation compared to lower IO levels. By no means everyone, but most
That’s not me. I was late to BFA and joined in season 4. But for me it was also quite a difference compared to legions m+, where I maybe did a +4 at best.
I definetly agree though, that it’s cool that everyone improved. Cynical people might blame corruptions and the gear getting better, but I think there’s also a lot of personal growth and better experience.
I’m not sure how it is in general, but with the people I play with, I can definetly also see a growing interest in mythic+ over the seasons.
I still refuse to download it. I didn’t get gearscore and I won’t get this. I’ll just have to make do without doing Mythic+. Shame for me as I enjoyed them.
Ah fair enough.
And true, some of it might come down to corruptions, and general scaling of Season 4. In general Season 4 scores are just higher than the others.
But some of it is also down to personal growth, i’ve seen in among the people i play with and others as well. And it would seem werid, if people have improved from season 1->2 → 3 → 4, but we somehow put S4 as only because of corruptions, wouldn’t make sense.
Yea, you can also see it in the increasing popularity of MDI.
You dont need to download it to play M+, you will still have a score, so you can still get invited into other groups, the addon it self only allows you to see other people’s score So go to war with it i’d say.
Just remember, everyone starts at the bottom, that is true for pvp and raiding as well
I haven’t been doing Mythic+ so I don’t have my own key so I can’t host my own groups. And the vast majority of groups demand a raider io score so I can’t get into those.
Same with gearscore back in WotLK.
LFM for 10 normal ICC, only accepting those with a gearscore that means you’ve obviously been doing ICC Heroic 25.
True, but if it was only down to the dungeons we’d see a smaller increase in general. If someone did all 15’s in Season 3 and same for Season 4, we’d only see around a 300 score differance, in most cases i’ve seen, it’s more than that
No worries. I also do not have the addon installed, and still played a ton of M+ On my new char i got invited in an M0 on 412 ilvl to get my first key. And from there it was happy gaming. You can do it! Have fun
Well, maybe a bit late now this late into the tier. But for SL, if you want to do m+ (seems like u enjoy the format in itself?), just start at the bottom as everyone else. Get a key and push that. Or join one of those communities, you might find some in the community recruitment section
I personally returned for bfa after many years away (i quit first tier in cata), had no clue what m+ or rio was, friendslist was lacking a bit, no guild anymore. I started by browsing the forums to look for a guild. Found a community instead. Joined there and slowly started building friends and joining ppl for some low m+. Didnt really do much in s1. S2 i made more friends and did some more runs. Same for s3 and s4. I have almost never pugged, except a few times we lacked maybe one member. The opportunity is there to do m+ without a care about rio at all.
