No they are not…same rules apply to WoW like they can apply on RL for certain situations… Guy who read book 200x times and get 4/5 mark…is not best one…compared to him, guy who read book 1 time and get 3/5 is walking god. Stop defending this false number already.

Well said, Thats is why i say: Rio usurped the game… I agree it bring some benefits to game, but it mostly did damage and destroyed community…so damage supass benefit = time for ban or rework.

But its not “your” data.

People keep making this basic mistake.

Number of kills is relevant in WoW.

If they have one run and only killed Nzoth, they have most likely been boosted. Same goes for keys. If it’s one +15 timed in each category.

This discussion is about the WoW review though, I know you have a strong dislike for Raider IO but maybe you could stick to the ban topic pretty plx :slight_smile:

Or they just went for the mount who cares to do more then x1 timed each 15, no more rewards after that.

I honestly don’t understand why people act about gaming stats as if it’s giving out your actual personal data (address, date of birth, email info etc).

Examples of personal data

  • a name and surname;
  • a home address;
  • an email address such as name.surname@company.com;
  • an identification card number;
  • location data (for example the location data function on a mobile phone)*;
  • an Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • a cookie ID*;
  • the advertising identifier of your phone;
  • data held by a hospital or doctor, which could be a symbol that uniquely identifies a person.

That might be your experience, but reality isn’t only based on your opinion or experience. For me the opposite is true.

RIO has helped me meet like minded people that I still play with, if I use your logic/argument rio has done wonders for the community, so it clearly needs to be part of the base game instead of 3rd party.

But just like reality isn’t just from your experience, nor is it just from mine, but we need to look at the broader playerbase to see if it is good or bad.
And before you start with “everyone agrees with me” I can find just as many people who agree with me :slight_smile:

Ohhh this is interesting. Explain your argument please. To who belongs that “data” ?

You don’t own your character, Blizzard does.

I’d think it was obvious, blizzard owns the data ^^

-Right now you got half of people who love rio and worship the score like god
-Another half who hate rio

But you forget about third “half”, and third “half” is millions of people who STOP playing, because rio usurped game, turned game into second job, and because community segregation done by rio. Rio detterred millions from WoW. Im 100% sure blizzard woud like their subscription as same they like yours or mine…

And Blizzard owns Rio?

Raider IO is a third party site, which you as a player can register on and hide your characters.

You can also opt out of sharing your API data with third parties in the account settings however you will remain visible on the armory.

Edit to add, opting out of raider io makes you look like someone with no score at all and will make it harder to get into groups. So I’d strongly advise people against it but individuals are free to make their own decision.

So why a third party site is sharing my “logs” without my consent and why i am forced to waste time to create Rio account, log in and hide my characters? Why do i need to be put in a situation like that?

Because it’s not personal data.

This is the account setting to change your data sharing.

However if you later try to use a site that relies on data from the Armory/API you may find it will not work. So users beware.

And as I previously warned opting out of being listed on Raider IO hinders you. It will not magically make people invite you to groups. You will appear to be someone with zero experience. You can try directing them to your armory page to see your highest timed key but it might be more difficult to get them to look. Although if you are going to direct them to the armory you might as well use raider io.

How to hide your characters on Raider IO:-

3 halfs. :rofl:

This sums up your grasp of statistics.

I don’t belong in any of your 3 halfs :grimacing: Poor me. :frowning:
