Raiding and loot/options

hello i’m a raider i always raided in shadowlands sometimes it was bosses for weeks and not getting the item you wanted but now it’s veek somewhere everything depends on the guildmaster if he gives you loot or not and with favoritism it’s terrible who made this up to put back into the game rather than let the game decide when and what loot you get that you can still give it away

Group loot should be a “opt-in” feature and not forced upon the LFR/Pug community or even Heroic guilds which most are giving the loot to “friends and family”

Personal loot was great for the vast majority of people but not for the mythic raiders who had the inconvenience of installing an addon called LootCouncil.

The main problem with personal loot is that you still cannot trade gear this is higher ilvl than yours.

Most guilds are using council it sucks 1 guy can say who gets loot who not bether roll if i roll lower i know it was just bad luck

Group loot is pretty cool, saves me the trouble of dealing with all those “need?” Whispers.

Hi!

Currently, you can still basically play with ‘personal loot’ format. All you need to do is press the Need button on the lootpiece you want.

If you are in a guild with someone that demands that you pass on all the loot and you don’t want to, there is only one option: Leave and join a guild that does not follow these rules of loot distribution.

Now, if you are in an organised raid group. You probably want to use a ‘loot council’, as in 9/10 cases the gear is distributed to make the content easier to do by gearing in a certain order. The hows and whys are up to the decission makers, yet the goal is almost always the same - Make getting more loot easier and faster.

Don’t fall in the trap believing that they are holding loot away from you. They are more than likely making it easier for you to get your full gearset in the long run.

Yet I will mention some very big RED FLAGS (where you should leave that raid team):

  • If there are constant roster rotation and the new people get loot before you.
  • If there are alts brought into the raid and they get the gear before you.
  • If you clear the raid once, and are done. Then going next tier, before you yourself get the key pieces (Tier, trinkets and other special equipment, aka Evoker staff). So if you did normal, but they don’t want to do normal anymore, because they got the gear - but you were overlooked, then leave. They will do it again in HC. Then Mythic… It wont change.
  • If you are in disagreement with the raid goals. If you are in it for your personal power, don’t be in a guild that prio raid power. This goes also the other way around. Find likeminded raiders to play with - they are out there guarenteed!

Hope that helps you out. From what I read, you are currently struggling with you being rolled over by favortism (a huge red flag in itself as well). So leave. Find a new place - either where they simply need/greed roll all the loot, or a place where you agree with the raid goals and loot distribution there in.

A lot of bad eggs out there, yet a lot more good ones overall. So don’t give up the search.

Have a great one!

If you want loot. Don’t raid.

The measly drops is simply not worth your time.

First of all I’m sorry that you are still raiding. What a time waste :D.

Second. I always thought in a guild loot trading is kind of fair. Are you pugging? Then I could understand your issue.

yes i get it, when you raiding in low-end guild which only do some mythic bosses, with masterloot, its catastrophe, you not gonna get loot or progress, some nice epics was the only reason ti play with weak players in guild and wasting your time, but not anymore.
at least now you can have loot from vault for boss kills, back in the days even this wasnt option, you just came and see how rl and his friends are gearing
