Hello,
For a piece of gear I have to Defeated Queen Ansurek on Heroic or Mythic difficulty. When I go to group finder I find a lot of groups for nerub at palac on heroic for instance. But the raid has 3 sections… But for this I need the queens fall section. How can I see it in that group finder that I joined to correct group? I dont see that much info…
“A Queens fall” is The Silken Court & Queen Ansurek which are the last two bosses.
When you hover over a group you can see what bosses they have cleared.
Lfr has 3 wings.
If joining a group for normal/heroic/mythic you have either full clear or skip (first 2 and last 2)
Hello,
So… the 3 sections of the raid you referenced are only on “Looking for Raid” difficulty.
In the group finder you would need to search for Queen and then apply for the raid that way. Doing a full raid though is better for your vault.
Its hard to find a group with ilvl 585…get declined all the time…
For heroic raids you want to be ilvl 600 at least
Yes, because that ilvl is pretty low for Heroic, let alone Mythic.
Your best option is to either do Normal Raid and get some Gear that way or do Mythic+.
Yes and it doesn’t get easier really. Pretty much 70% of the Queen only raids will ask you to be AoTC and 610+ ilvl. The curve request sucks but i get why they want a high ilvl considering there is a DPS check on this boss.
Best bet would be to run it on Normal difficulty to get loot and fill the vault slots. You will be able to get the same loot as heroic but on a different gear upgrade track. Maybe even LFR difficulty would be better at your Ilvl.
lfr is better for them with that ilvl .
Hi. Ty. What is aotc en lfr? Sorry I am new.
LFR is Looking For Raid, the “dungeon browser” version or baby version of the raid (easiest mode). You can access it through the raid finder just like you can get into dungeons and the tool tosses you together with other random ppl who want to do this version; it’s good to get a first impression of a raid and the bosses and there will be no one gatekeeping you from entering them; your gear is already good enough.
AOTC mean “ahead of the curve” and is an achievemen one gets for killing the heroic version of a raid endboss before the next raid gets released; so, basically people are asking you to already have killed the boss or rather cleared the raid before accepting you to their raid group. Yes, it makes zero sense and it’s one of the reasons why I no longer bother with doing raids above LFR difficulty. Unless you have a guild group who is nice and carries you through raids, you’ll have an incredibly hard time getting into the normal, heroic and especially the mythic version of the raids, as there is no tool that just matches you with like minded people but only the group finder where raid leaders can chose manually whom they take into their group and who they don’t want - ergo everyone who doesn’t already know the fights exactly and is overgeared.
Good luck!
Automatic finders don’t work once the content gets challenging. People leave once they start failing. In fact for normal raids people who can actually do them will make premades/semi serious pugs while the bottom of the ladder will be on automatic queues.
And that’s not even adressing the fact that LFR is broken into wings because you can’t always expect the average player to commit to doing 8 bosses in one sitting.
If they’d do that with normal/heroic raids, I might actually cosider doing them; because yes, building a group manually already takes ages, doing the raid takes again as long - everythign would go faster with raid wings - and no, that you cna try to get into another group with the same kill status doesn’t solve the problem. (I miss the mini raids of old…)
To be frank, I never pug queen. I either kill her with my raid, or take a boost.
Generally as a fight, it is pretty unforgiving. Single mistakes from players can cause wipes and pugs either break/take 20 pulls to kill her, or just one shot her once in a blue moon if you get all the players that know what they are doing.
In your case if you want to kill heroic queen, then I would 100% recommend a casual aotc guild that is raiding 1-2 times per week. It would be way easier to kill her, and maybe if the guys are pretty chill to actually see some progression.
