Random behaviour/language warnings

I have not been playing alot for the past few days due to holidays and being sick. today i logged on to find 2 ( Two ) warnings on my account for behaviour/language.
Now i have not even played for a few days and it looks like im being the target of people spam reporting me. Is this even possible ?
Its kinda getting on my nerves since i’ll probably eventually get an automated ban.
I was trying to open a ticket and ask for help but creating a ticket and contacting a GM has gotten a tad bit hard these days.

TL;DR,
How many automated warnings untill the system is going to start handing out suspensions?

The warnings you see in the top corner ingame is a gentle reminder that you’ve been reported recently and should review your recent behaviour. Should you’ve done nothing wrong you should just click and carry on.

This is not a written penalty and Blizzard account action. For that will start at One Week Silence.

The most you may receive, is a Squelch which is the removal of social features until a GM fast track reviews your account for a more permanent penalty or overturn. Generally it is aimed to combat goldseller spam and the like and you’d need to reach a real huge amount of reports in a relative low amount of time to get to it.

All Blizzard account actions may be appealed against and will be reviewed by a human. They may use templates to serve tickets faster which is the norm nowadays for CS personnel.

Your original post seems well written with no issues around profanity. If this is how you generally carry yourself then id push back on any warnings.

That said, if you are one of those who likes to swear and be abbusive to people in game, well, you get what your asking for quite frankly.

Im.no shrinking violet, but theres no need for swearing or being nasty to people… it is only a game after all.

Maybe just don’t curse out people anymore.
I know, it’s hard sometimes. I am there plenty of times, trust me.

But the people you are cursing out likely don’t care about it what so ever and just report you out of spite.
And you are the only person getting in trouble. Not worth it.

Also, treat others like you want to be treated.

Now I don’t know the backstory. But even if people spam report, there must have been something going on. People usually don’t do this for no reason to “random” people.

your name.
like do we need to say much else lol

That was my first thought as well.

I use an addon that filters chat.

I can only see what’s being said in chat if my character’s name is mentioned or the words healer, tank, defend, boss, and monk are in the sentence.

I’ve never got any warnings in-game for my behavior/language and I’m what most would consider a toxic player.

So yeah, I feel like you must have done something.

Could it not mean ‘one who observes the TOS rigorously’?

ooooh you got a top corner warning lol. It’s fine don’t worry, it just means people reported you for something, if you did nothing then don’t worry about it. Don’t listen to people that say stuff like “don’t be a troll then”, it’s an automated warning but you wont get an automated ban.

Have fun and happy new year

just so you know, people false report in groups. it happened to me

Feminine “Theodosia” (Greek) “God’s gift”. Diminutive “Tossa” (Theodora,Dorothy same origin)
Masculine “Theodore” (Greek) “God’s gift” Diminutive “Teddy”

I don’t even know what TC’s name means.

Its something only apparent to British people. I didnt notice it either until it was pointed out.
It means fool or stupid or something along those lines.

I think we all know what the OP’s name means. I doubt very highly he googled that and thought “Yes!! Verily a particularly splendid moniker! I shall immediately create a World of Warcraft character with this name”

Lets just say it would involve self love.

Well i guess Google was wrong😂

Interesting. I usually don’t hold back when people deserve to be called out for what they are and yet I have never received a single warning in game. Got couple of my responses flagged in the forums tho. Oh no. Anyway.
The system can be abused, yes, someone doesn’t like your response and asks his guildies/friends to mass report you, bam, you got the warning.

People make these sorts of silly mistakes all the time.

This character used to be called Ishayoe. Why? My original was Ishayu, then came Ishayo, then Ishaye, then Ishayi, etc. until I ran out of English vowels, so I made Ishayoe.

Someone thought that sounded alot like “Is a hoe” and the memes began.

I had no intention of this and made a name change.

In fact most common names today has some kind of way to mock it. My last name’s first syllable sounds like mush in Danish. I had a real fun time. Didn’t we all?

Well, the majority of world is not english and multiple languages have different words that mean something on some other language so I agree with you. Its kinda obvious to me though and in general I dont assume that everyone just randomly understand my native either as that would be same as assuming that everyone are from Finland which statistically everyone are not

To be fair, I am English, and at the time that I made this alt I had no idea I’d inadvertently included a reference to a chocolate starfish, until someone started emoting laughs and saying “haha your name!

It wasn’t very original thinking, but I was just trying include a reference to claws/talons.
