So, we were (with my guildmate) doing the dailies in Uldum today and looked for the elites for the quest. We didn’t met any Alliance player this morning, and we were both mounted (wait for elite respawns).
Then suddenly i was dismounted and got a bounty debuff without a reason (i didnt even had the assassin buff) so i was not able to fly anymore.
Sure the alliance players appeared in 1-2 minutes and the fun started
I don’t cry about it because I really enjoyed the fight, i just don’t understand why i got the bounty debuff
If you had the assassin debuff previously and manually hearthstoned to Boralus or something along those lines you only lose the assassin buff but not lose the participation to be marked as a bounty.
Even in that case, we didn’t even touched any alliance player that morning i got the debuff. We were both fly mounted and just flight around looking for elites. I even scrolled back my chat window looking for honorable kills if we accidently killed someone, but there was nothing.
Haha yeah I noticed that Bounty can be quite buggy.
I got bounty on my head several times, by just entering Nazjatar with Warmode On (just after logging on, without even as much as touching anything, let alone anyone).
and yeah - as soon as you get bounty on you … magic happens … 2 - 3 minutes later a party or even a small raid appears and bam - you are dead.
However - this (having a bounty) is sometimes a blessing too.
Comes in handy when doing the PVP quests (Call to Arms), because if you struggled to find enemy players from opposing faction to kill - as soon as you get bounty, you will have plenty. And if you have a decent group - your 5 man team (including yourself) can survive long enough to complete the quest
