I’m getting frequent random freezes which seem to be similar to old 8.2.5 issue Small lag on quest turn ins and WQ completed - #196 by Nyriin-argent-dawn
Most frequent cause is WQ messages popping up - just before them there’s a very noticeable lag.
Started occuring this Friday, before that even if I had freezes it was usually server lag related. I have a decent spec and game is normally running at 80-100fps still so I don’t think hardware is the issue.
Checking the log files causing the mentioned quest lag I found both Hotfix and Tooltip were > 1MB which is unreasonable for a log file, replaced both with clean ones and marked readonly however I have the game on exFat drive (used for Mac as well as Win) so cannot specify ownership and they’re getting overwritten on games start (with or without launcher) and Hotfix log becomes > 1MB again. Marking those as readonly after start seemingly reduces the lag but it’s still noticeable
Edit: now that I played for a while with setting r/o on those log files after launch I can confirm that lag is indeed reduced
