Were there a resevoir of good will towards the game, it could be written off as bad idea and overlooked. As that resevoir no longer exists, having been throughly emptied out these past three years, it’s just something else to add to an ever expanding list of things to dislike and to justifiably complain about.
See, this is what happens when you turn your audience against you. Anything you do do right is going to be ignored and anything you do wrong will be magnified. If the Blizzard devs feel this is unfair they may have a point, but if they made a better game they’d find the odd misstep to be forgiven a lot more readily than when the misstep is just one more stupid problem on a whole heap of stupid problems.
I did find it marginally easier in that someone posted last time that you don’t have click the onscreen thing, just fly through the memory. But the wings are so hit or miss and nearly always land on top of an angry bear.
It’s not hard, it’s just stupid. Like what’s even the point of the wings when the only place they’re useful is on the high ledges but you cant steer so it’s not like you can follow the path of balls unless they’re in a straight line. The balls everyone actually picks up you could’ve realistically either jumped through on your mount or simply clicked on.
You really have problem with this Quests?
ORB is always in place that you can go little higher on rock or something than you jump then you press action button you fly throug orb…you catch it then you press action button again and then you are on the groud
it took me 1-2 minutes to do it all ORB were UP at night fae rare
I mean I won’t bemoan or abandon the quest but the design doesn’t seem well thought out given you can’t control the flight and the action button causes you to nosedive to the floor.
If it was a leap I’d get it, jumping off the cliff, and leaping back up, scaling higher.
But generally speaking you jump off a cliff, get the orb, then nosedive into the floor then having to run up the cliff by foot again to do the same.
The action button honestly seems absolutely pointless.
To be honest, I rather have this quest and wait the easy orbs to respawn than kill random number of razorwings for theri spine for the Plaguedeviser’s quest… now THAT is a darn anoying quest. My friend’s “record” 38 razorwing killed without spine drop… I’m “only” and luckly under 15 so far
It’s a stupid quest but at least you don’t have to fight over the resources and they respawn fairly quickly. You just stand on a rock, press the spacebar and then click the wings and you automatically bounce off towards the orb and float down. Rinse and repeat. Stupid - but doable. Compared to infecting those poor bears and having to wait until they’re at 30% and someone else can come along and steal it or kill it.
I remember starting a thread saying “AoE Looting is good” when it was introduced. Got about three reponses. Not an unpopular opinion - there just wasn’t much more to say.
Bad things get a lot of replies, because when everyone has a pebble in their shoe, they’re gonna complain until Blizzard gets it out.
How would you like some very cryptic crosswords to solve, or a really tough Chess puzzle (2000+ rating)? No dount, being Blizz, they would put a timer on it, and if you don’t finish within the timer, you fail and are presented with a different one if you try again. Those would be new challenges. Would you welcome those?
When the devs try to shoehorn part of another game into WoW as a daily, they have a positive responsibility to see that a) they WORK and b) they will be well-accepted. We do not have a duty to like whatever they throw at us.
I liked it, was a mega easy quest that took like 2mins. What’s the beef? There’s like 3 on the path up on a small hill that keep respawning. Jump in the direction, click the wings, click the next button to leap back to where you was? Are people really struggling and finding it difficult lol.
