Randomly drops from the game and battle.net launcher

Hello! Sometimes i encounter disconnects from blizzard game (primary world of warcraft) and battle.net launcher for few moments and in few min i reconnect.

I tried web ticket but every time i try to submit it redirects me to forum.
I’m raid leader in world of warcraft and every DC or freeze is terrifying for our progression.
Those issues happens in sc2 / wow (haven’t experienced such in hots) and battle.net launcher. Should i contact my isp regarding this problem?

The looking glass test is indeed showing what seem to be a network related issue, but to pinpoint with a bit more in detail what may be the cause it would be useful to see the results of a WinMTR test as well.

Would you mind running it and posting the results here? :slight_smile:

I’m having the same ussue with DCs. Is there any ideas how to fix this?

Hey there Апельсиня,

Thanks for posting the WinMTR results!

There may be more than one cause for the problem you described initially, but I am afraid it all starts from the nodes I quoted above.

The second one - marked as unassigned.infomir. com.ua - clearly show a very high worst ping response, 138ms in one test and 178 in the other. This basically means that in those nodes your signal has some very high latency spikes, something that can easily lead to connection instability as well as to packet loss.

Talking about packet loss, there is actually some later in the connection routing. This can easily be a consequence of the latency spikes mentioned earlier, so for now I would like to focus mostly on those, as fixing the spikes may fix the packet loss as well.

The nodes quoted initially - unassigned.infomir. com.ua - seems to be part of your ISP network infrastructure, so to start I would like to suggest you to contact them directly. If possible show them the results of the WinMTR tests and point out the lines, and crossing fingers they’ll be able to take it from there and see what they can do to fix the affected nodes ^^

Hello! I’ve contacted my ISP regarding this issue, they explained worst latency “unassigned.infomir” because of some packet priority (packet used by mtr low prior or something like that)
They will contact ISP above them (if I’m correct in translation) about DC’s and try to investigate.

During DC i see such results and some of my co-raiders experience same issues from time to time (we’ve from different countries)
Is there a chance that Blizzard side could try contact Telia .net regarding this issue please?
