I randomly die, I cant find the reason of death in the damage logs at all. I have 20k hp and I die from taking 5k damage? This started happening yesterday when some demon hunter one shot me in the midst of our fight. I though I was getting killed by a hacker and now it just happens randomly? Whats going on??

You play with Surrender to madness, so that’s 99.9% likely to be the culprit

If the OP had been in any of my groups, they’d know that StM is how you get your group to ease back on dps just a little bit so you die before the boss does.
Because how can you not troll someone using this?

Is there a way to cleanse STM or remove it somehow?.Sorry for asking a dumb question but I’m still new to SL.
Kill the mob before time’s up.
Yup. Use StM only when:
- you are 100% sure the target will die within 25s
- you are 100% sure that you will die if you don’t use it
Even so, if your groups are like mine, they will troll you with it and try to be sure you’re dead on every boss fight

I still don’t get this part why would I wanna use the debuff on myself on purpose I’m not a masochist.
So stm is removed when you kill the mob who gave it to you?.
Now I’m just super confused?.
I need further elaboration.
the mobs don’t give it to you you give it to yourself and if you don’t kill the mob you are fighting in the 25 sec span bam you are death.

You get a debuff when you use the ability giving you 25 sec to kill your target or die yourself

So I was right In a sense it is a masochistic ability now the only question is what do I gain from it when using it on a mob or a boss like what’s the catch(reward from it)?.
As it says on the link if you click it and read, you gain 100% increased insanity generation and can cast while moving for the duration
Ah so it’s mages ice floes ability but with a dark twist added to it.
Probably a hunter being sneaky with there one shot op skills atm - watch out for them
dont use surrender to madness
it’s a dumb gimmick
