Why do mages still only have 30 yard range on frost spells vs boomies and hunters with their 40?
Any reasoning behind this?

Arctic Reach doesn’t affect Spellfrost Bolt. Or Ice Lance. Or Deep Freeze.
Those 3 spells are the main rotation of Frost in SoD.
So their range talent does literally nothing useful.
Noone is casting Frostbolt.
Then why do you write frost spells?
To quote Zirene, the class dev from Classic Mage Discord, when i asked “no +range on SFB?

I actually think short/mid ranged abilities are healthy for the game, as long as there’s less spell puushback
which SFB has now
I think having a 4 tiered line of characters is good - Tanks, Melee DPS behind the boss, mid ranged casters behind them, long range casters + healers behind them
it gives more flavor to how you like to deal damage
It gives a lot of strong flavour when I’m trying to do dmg in PvP.
