Has anyone else noticed that the ranged animations for all non-hunters classes are completely bricked? Whenever you target with someone with a ranged weapon and you are NOT a hunter, you are unable to attack them, and your animation will be that of a player being unarmed.
Not only hunters are safe from this either! If you are playing a non-survival hunter, your melee weapons will not work in the animation department if you’re far away, and if you’re playing a survival hunter, then your ranged weapons will be similarly broken!
I can only assume that this bug has been alive for years. It seems like a very easy thing to fix, no?
Blizzard, fix the thing, eh? Just do your… Blizzard Analysis and… Evaluations… and fix it.
This has been a thing ever since warriors and rogues had ranged weapons removed from their arsenal. This is not a bug, this won’t get fixed as long as rogues and warriors are not meant to use ranged weapons.
They actually removed it?
I recall you could still equip them but… it would only be decorative making warriors a good mog-hunting character for weapons.
As a warrior you used to be able to use thunder clap whilst holding a ranged weapon and it would actually put you into a ranged combat stance. Now you just have the default, un-armed animation.
It legit ruined the look and feel I had for a heavily armored goblin I was RPing who used a gun
It was functioning well through end of Legion and the intial patch of BFA, both Hunter and Warrior had the animation of idly being armed with the ranged weapon of choice, however now only Hunters got the animation stance and only the Hunter in question can see the animation, not the fellow players.
