With how underwhelming it is. I dont think it will matter. You can literally get a better wep now in BWL.
Rank 14 weapons got buffed, and at least the healer weapon is substantially stronger than the one from thunderaan.
Sure, its like a 20 healing difference. Almost all the others are weaker than BWL (The buffed ones).
We are going into AQ. So these weps are dead on arrival because 1 place where id chose dmg over stam ? Its the wep, as scaling works differently and you get A LOT more from a wep than armor.
Str/AP wise, the R14 2handers are worse than Ashkandi, so will be inferior DPS.
Damage wise? 80 DPS at 3.8 speed is no joke, and they have massive stamina on them now; so I’d definitely rather take one for PVP.
…Although, what is the point of gearing for PVP once you’ve reached R14?
The AQ 2h weps are going to be well over 80dps. That 20 additional stamina is not going to matter when you are hitting noticeably harder.
The rest of the pvp gear needs to be updated imo. Else it will fall behind.
Its time they added pvp-power/resil tbh. Let pvp gear be better in pvp, and let pve be better in pve.
There is a reason why they added that kinda gear in the later expansions, and never went back.

In what way? It prevented pve geared ppl causing havoc vs ppl who only pvp

Whether its pvp power, or resilience. Doesnt matter much to me, but pvp gear needs a pvp spesific stat.
The best pvp expansion was mop (not talking about balance here), you had the pvp trinket bonus and legendary cloak that didnt do much. So you could actually just pvp, without having to worry about pve at all.

resilience makes pve gear obsolete in pvp, and that is a problem imo.
likewise, resilience gear is obsolete in pve as well, so why have it in the game?
you’re just asking to have an (essentially) unfair advantage by token of playing pvp.

Yeah why not, ppl go crazy if you go with rank 13 gear to bwl. Its only fair tbh, if you wanna pvp do the effort of gearing for it trough pvp

you’re missing the point.
why have it work this way, when you could have both types of gear work for all the content?
the idea that the gear i get from raids should essentially not be allowed in pvp at all is an alien concept to me.
you are just sour that the gear i have obtained is stronger than yours, despite the fact i worked 10x harder for it.
you can afk farm your pvp gear.
watch me try to afk farm my pve gear dude.
p.s im rank 12 on this priest and i don’t use pvp gear for pvp cus its bad.
would have been rank 13 this week but you know… more important things to do.
my shaman is rank 13 and i only use the epic pvp pieces for their stamina gain, making sure i get my pve set bonuses cus they trump the stamina in terms of character power.

SoD yes.
it is possible to afk farm gear in SOD, in the realm of PVP.
you can’t do the same in PVE cus you will 100% get kicked before any loot is given to you.
in pvp people rely on a flawed AI system-bot thing to flag someone as afk after many reports for a timer to even start ticking.
the system then actively warns that AFK freeloader and gives them a generous 5 minute debuff timer before any punishment even kicks into effect, and all that person then has to do is literally pop a heal on a team member or hit an enemy just once and they can go back to afking, and even if he gets reported again and gets a second timer, the BG is likely beyond over before that one kicks into effect.
in pve, a raid leader will notice your slackery basically immediately and then make sure to kick you out of the raid after bricking your weekly lockout.
that alone means anyone playing pve is - by default - working AT LEAST 10x harder than even the most dedicated pvp ranker to obtain gear upgrades.

Are you saying pve require some effort now? In SoD? Are you for real? You can basically watch a movie on a second monitor while raiding.
